  • The reminder alert is a good idea. I'm going to try that!
  • Hi Everyone. First time on this thread. I weighed myself yesterday and couldn't believe the number. In just 11/2 months, I've gained 10 lbs! What the H**L??? How does that even happen?! Anyways....I absolutely need to lose the weight. I have a Disney World trip planned for November and there is no way I'm going to be able…
  • Awesome job. You should be extremely proud of yourself!!!!!
  • This is such an inspiring story. Thank you for sharing! I have to ask...what exercises did you do for your arms to not have any loose skin there?
  • I'm back...after being away for a year. Update: A year ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I'm happy to report it was a very treatable cancer and she is in remission and will most likely stay there. But that's when it all went down hill. I stopped going to the gym, I stopped worrying about what I was eating. In my mind,…
  • I'd love to make this my goal too but sadly I don't think I'll ever have a body and an *kitten* like that!
  • I weigh twice a week, but only record the weight once a week. I use to record on Mondays, but realized that wasn't the best thing for me since it was right after the weekend and I normally do not do well with eating. So I now weigh myself on Wednesdays. My weight loss has been EXTREMLY slow. Only losing 4.2 lbs in 5 weeks,…
  • I know what you mean about eating in defiance. I once had a guy I went to school with say how "hot" I was in high school. Then he proceeds to say " what happened?" "Are you going to do something to about it?" I swear I wanted to go eat 10 cheeseburgers right in front of him. That was the last time I spoke to him. I don't…
  • Thank you! This is what I meant. I have NO IDEA how I'm going to feel when the weight comes off. I think it would be a little normal though if, like you said, someone is all nice or interested now that you lost weight but they weren't before. I hope I don't have any anger or anything towards anyone.
  • I haven't lost much of anything at this point, but what concerns me is when I do lose the weight, I'm going to have anger and resentment towards the men that show me attention (if they do). Almost like "So what? I wasn't good enough when I was fat but now I am? F off." Anyone else think this or maybe has even experienced…
  • 5'2 - highest was 221. I finally got serious 3 weeks ago and am down 3 lbs. I am happy with that and honestly do not want to lose much more than that each week. I'm hoping slow and steady will keep me from having too much loose skin and help with keeping the weight off in the long run! My Ultimate Goal Weight is 130. I…
  • LOL I'm pretty lazy too. I've been a member here for awhile, but it's only been the last 3 weeks that I got serious because I took pictures while I was in my underwear. I was in tears when I saw them. I started to workout at least 3 days a week. Sometimes at home, sometimes at a gym.
  • You are shaped very similar to me, except my belly from a side view is a tad bigger. I hope I will look as good as you do after I lose some weight. I am only down 3 lbs in 3 weeks so it's been very slow going because I'm stubborn and haven't changed much about my diet. Although I have been working out 4 days a week now.
  • You have done an amazing job! You have really given me hope with the cellulite because yours looks like it is almost completely gone! Have you been doing any strength training in legs?
  • A truly amazing job! You look stunning. Knowing how hard it is, you must be incredibly proud of yourself (as you should be! :) )
  • Your legs look great! You can really see a difference, especially in your thighs.
  • When I was in high school I was 113 lbs (I'm 5'2). As thin as I was I NEVER had a thigh gap. This is something to be proud of my friend! Awesome :)
  • Wow this is encouraging as I had posted something awhile ago asking if my calves will shrink if I lose weight. I never had big calves until I started to gain weight. Thanks so so much for posting and keep up the great work!
  • That's great! Keep up the great work!
  • Awesome job :) Your legs look great and this was exactly what I was looking for!!
  • This is awesome!!! Great Job :)
  • I did WW about 3 years ago so not sure how much has changed since then. I will say that when I did the program, almost all fruits and vegetables were "free". Which in turn allowed you to eat more compared to MFP since MFP counts the calories in your fruits and veggies. However, for basically the same concept, save yourself…
  • You look great! Keep up the good work. Also-love the No Face cutout. It's an awesome movie
  • I wanted to say thank you to you for your advice. This has been really working for me and I feel that something finally "clicked" in my head and I have had my "aha moment". I was probably eating at least 2,000 - 3,000 every day. And I was trying to eat only 1400. That's a big difference and a huge change. So I increased my…
  • You make some good points. All of what I said still comes down to creating that caloric deficit. Bottom line. I am a bad logger I have to admit. Mostly because most of what I eat I don't know how to track. For example, a lot of times when I go out to eat I am eating a cheesesteak with French fries. And it's from a…
  • My friend...I like the way you think! I never thought to reduce my calories slowly. I just always had the assumption that when you finally make the decision to lose weight, you need to immediately start at what your calories SHOULD be (mine is 1200 according to MFP). I am going to try your method and see if that helps.…
  • Good question. I need to: -Eat the proper portion sizes -Eat out less -Exercise (I know this isn't necessary to lose weight, but it would help with loose skin and make me healthier) -Eat less sugary foods -Drink more water -Somehow keep myself busy after I already had a helping of something (in the correct portion size)…
  • I guess it's looking like it'll be a waiting game to see what happens. To get to a healthy BMI range I need to lose 75 lbs. They really got big since my weight gain. Let's hope its fat and not muscle.
