Good morning! I am also 50. I have 60+ to lose. Always have struggled with weight problems. Right now I am focusing on bringing my calories up from 800 or so. I am having such a hard time with sleeping at night and not needing a nap in the afternoon. I can't get anything done because I am always tired. Just chiming in to say good morning. It will actually be good night for me soon. I could not sleep last night. I hate insomnia. Woke up feeling awful today so I did not workout. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I hate missing my workouts. I forgot how good it feels to sweat off the weight and actually accomplish something for myself. Here's to keeping it up!

My ex-husband was tall and thin. To gain weight, along with lifting, was lots of protein and carbs. For protein after lifting he would eat a can of tuna. He ate all through the day. Don't depend on fried food, that will just get you heart problems. Drink protein shakes you can get at the grocery store for added calories. :)

I agree,don't go by the scale, you know what you are doing..watching cals, exercising... sometimes it doesn't show on the scale. Leave it be, put it in a closet. I am. LOL
