Oh lordy, don't I know this one! I'd been stuck for awhile. I've been around here enough to know I was eating too much, but the voice of denial was strong. It said "you've lost 90 pounds, you know what you're doing, there's no way you're eating too much!" So I decided I was going to PROVE that I really was a special…

Wow! Great job!

For meats, look for USDA entries, and make sure you choose cooked/uncooked accordingly. After you have logged a few weeks it gets much easier, because you will be able to choose from your most recently used options and won't have to search through the whole library every time.

I LOVE those! They're made by Sanders. Very rich and satisfying for only 70 cals each. I also like to keep Yasso and Enlighten ice cream bars around. Under 100 cals and decent macros.

Tuna with diced peppers, green onion, sriracha and light sesame-ginger dressing I also like tuna with tomato, cottage cheese salt & pepper

I agree. And the same advice goes for losing weight. Every time you quit you get a little bit better at it - and every time you try to change any other habits you learn what works and what doesn't.

Yup. This worked for me. I even set up a hand-me-down treadmill in front of the kid's basement tv so I could walk while watching Netflix shows. It combined something I wanted to do with something I didn't and forced me to stop using weather or kids as an excuse. I gradually walked longer, then started playing around speed…

Everything @quiksylver296 says. It is simple. But that doesn't mean it's easy. The beauty is that those 5 lifts all work multiple muscle groups. Most of those machines at the gym isolate a few muscles at a time, that's why you have to do so many of them. Just follow the program the way is is written. Don't add extras, and…

Totally this. It completely changed how running felt for me. And don't be afraid to wait until you lose more weight to try running. You do not need to run to lose weight. You just need to eat fewer calories than you burn. Continue doing workouts you like and try running again after you lose a few more pounds.

OMG!! Those pics literally made my jaw drop! I think I just found my 2017 goal! Please tell me how you did it!!!

I got one from my mother in law last Christmas. I figured it would end up in the gadget graveyard in my basement but I use it almost every day. Steamed veggies, rice, hard cooked eggs, pasta and sauce in one pot - no draining! Tonight was chicken and rice and it was easy, fast and delicious! The kids devoured it. The…

I really like Victoria's Secret leggings and they come in tall. Kind of pricey unless you catch them when they're having a special.

The MFP filters are messing up the link and subbing "kitten" for "bullish!t" . You can replace kitten with bullish!t (with an i instead of ! ) I n the link or If you google "body for wife eat less move more" it will be the top link.
-
Gone? Nope. But WAY better. Like 75% reduction.
-
You just need to move. Start small. Find something you like - or even just tolerate. Then make a goal you think is super-easy. I started by doing the least objectionable thing I could think of and combining it with something I like to do. I walked on my treadmill while watching tv. I Told myself as long as I did it 20…

Rotisserie chicken from Costco or the grocery store are good. You can pick up a bagged salad mix or deli sides to go with.
-
Almost forgot - IceBreakers mints and sours. Only 2 cal ea. but big flavor.
-
Red radishes with salt & pepper Herbal teas - lots of good seasonal ones out now. If you can handle the sodium, instant Miso soup is like 25 cal.

Go to the website and read the instructions. The program is simple and the website does a really nice job of walking you through how it works and why it is set up that way. Watch the videos and pay close attention to proper form. Then use the app to keep track of your progress.

My measurements are about the same and I am happy with the medium. It has enough stretch to get things in and out but still stay snugly in place.

I have an acquaintance that sells some anti-aging beauty cream crap that she gleefully claims will "alter your DNA!" This is the same woman who won't use a microwave because it "kills the nutrition". Ummm... you don't science, do you?

My husband has been very supportive and never questioned my motives... but I'm beginning to believe he is bothered by the fact that our lifestyles are becoming so different. I never say anything to him about eating less or working out, but I he's been beating himself up a bit about gaining at least as much as I've lost.…

Wow! A memorable day in every way imaginable!

Love it! I set up a home gym in my basement with Craigslist finds. I'm so glad I did! No more hurrying to get to get to the rec center as soon as they open so I can get the "good" squat rack that doesn't shake when you load more than 100 lbs on it or spending the forst 10 minutes of my workout clearing away the plates and…

Definitely true for me. I handle heat and humidity much better than when I had 90lbs of insulation to haul around. I also no longer have sweat stains on all my white shirts. I used to think it was my laundry detergent, but nope. I just sweat a lot - even in cooler weather or air conditioning. Enjoy your trip, it sounds…

I lost my first 70 pounds or so by staying in my MFP calorie goal and walking during my lunch breaks or on my treadmill while watching TV. No gym, no running, no crazy exercise videos. I run 20+ miles a week, lift weights 3 times a week, and average over 15,000 steps a day now, but that's for fitness, not weight loss. I…

Sounds like you found a bad entry. Search the database for another entry that has the proper information. Since users can create content, you often find inaccurate entries. Make sure you always double check the MFP info to the food label when you scan in a new food, There is a handy button on the bottom that lets you…

Easy Buckeye Bars These are kind of like Rice Krispies Treats, but 10,000 times better: Scotcheroos Or there's a ton of no-bake cheesecake recipes out there. How do you feel about simple candies? Like chocolate covered pretzels or peanut clusters. I've even seen recipes for candy/nut cluters made in the slow cooker.

Welcome! It's awesome that your doc sent you here. I was you about 2 years ago. After just one year using my fitness pal I went from 230 to 145! You can do this. Just keep it simple and make gradual changes. Start eating what you normally do and track every bite. Look at your calories like a budget and decide which foods…

I've seen them at my local grocery. So far I've managed to keep them from jumping into my cart, only because I know I wouldn't be able to control myself. I already know that I don't have the strength to resist a bag of Reese's minis.
