  • I've tried PiYo, TurboFire, Chalene Xtreme, and Brazil Butt lift. I really like all three programs that I tried by Chalean and will be repeating them in the future... I wasn't a huge fan of the Brazil Butt lift.
  • Before I purchase my Polart FT7 HRM I would log it under circuit training... it was pretty close. But I also agree that Heart rate monitors are worth purchasing for accurate calorie burns. Especially if you eat back exercise calories or don't have a big deficit to work with like I do.
  • I personal can't. I'm a 34A/ 32 B and I need a sports bra to keep the girls in place. I get pretty sore otherwise. I would think that even us smaller busted women need the support. and like a previous poster mentioned sports bras are better at moisture wicking. OP I us VS Angel sports bras, but as I stated I'm fairly small…
  • Hey everyone sorry I have not been around. To answer Amy, yes, I did get the floor fixed. But there have been other issued that I haven't mentioned but now I'm going to get out there. I've been on an up and down roller coaster dealing with chronic migraines and endometriosis. Both of these I've been dealing with for years…
  • I believe that when you choose your activity level it is based on your day to day activity level without including exercise. So for you I would choose sedentary since most of your time is spent in class or on commute. Then when you workout log your calories burned separately. I usually workout 6 days a week for about an…
  • I do not own a Polar f11 but I just Googled how to reset it. The following link has 3 easy to follow steps for resetting it. ehow.com/how_7176556_reset-polar-f11.html I also came across a PDF file for the Manual to the F11 on how to use it. :)…
  • Are you cutting out soda too OP? If you are I would say that lack of caffeine is probably why you are getting the headache. There isn't much you can do about that except drink plenty of water and maybe find another caffeine source, like unsweetened tea. Cold packs on the head and neck help with headaches.. otherwise you'll…
  • I take the Naturemade burpless fish oil. It actually says burpless on the label. I've never had problems with it. When I switched to other fish oils I noticed right away and went back to Naturemade.
  • They are $3.50 here.. Yes the recipes are definitely changing. :( Hubby and I always loved the peanut butter patties (tagalongs) but this year they came out and had half the peanut butter in them and just didn't taste anywhere near as good. I don't think we will buy as much next year. We bought 6 boxes this year... We'll…
  • I was going to suggest that you research what equipment you would need. I personally haven't done it but I know my husband ended up investing in a pull up bar and free weights.

  • I agree that it's not necessarily as important as some would make it out to be. (Some make it out to be a matter of life or death.) It really depends on you and how you feel. I personally take a preworkout because I roll out of bed and get moving. As far as post workout, I don't take a separate supplement, I just have my…
  • If you are sexually active then pregnancy is always a possibility... I get nauseous when my period is due so I personally don't feel that "morning (or evening) sickness" is a reliable sign of pregnancy.
  • This weekend I bought a box of HoHos... and ate it in two days. :s I won't be doing that again!
  • Coach your weekend sounds absolutely wonderful! When we were in CA my favorite time to go to the beach was when it was a bit chilly. I actually liked putting on a sweater and jeans to walk on the beach.. or maybe it was just because it wasn't as crowded. ;) My hubby and I just stayed home for Valentines day but I was…
  • I'm jealous that you are able to say you are onto week 7! If I'm being honest I should redo week 5 again.. but I'm just going to move on because at this point that's what I need to do. **Confession time** I knocked a board loose under my workout room!... as in one that makes a really loud thudding noise throughout the…
  • I changed my macros to 40/30/30. Hopefully that helps me out. I'm working hard at getting my diet to meet the macros it is supposed to, but that's kind of tough some days.. Right now my MFP goal is 1460 calories a day. That gives me a slight deficit from what it says I would would need to maintain. Some days I eat back…
  • Today I just had abs and stretch 10 scheduled. So I skipped TF and did PiYo Drench instead. Piyo gives me way more of a core workout than TF abs does so I figured I would get my core work in and burn more calories this way. :) My motivation seems to have slipped out the window. I'm thinking I'll take new progress pics this…
  • I love Zumba, TurboFire, and PiYo. So I'd say I really like dancing, kickboxing and fast paced yoga.
  • Way to go! You're just under 20 lbs down and that is an accomplishment that you should definitely be proud of! Keep up the good work.
  • Fire 30 again today. I'm getting better at this one and am really starting to like it! Now that I know things switch up a lot I'm more prepared for it and follow along a lot better. Woot Woot!! I wonder if we are losing people or if they are just busy... Hopefully they are still going strong!
  • Me too, just a pound.. if that. Haha. :) I can't believe I never saw this thread before. Most of these are making LOL because I can relate.. and others, well I'm not judging but I'm a bit surprised! Last week my energy was down (not taking in enough protein and calories in general.) So I let myself off the hook all week…
  • Happy Tuesday to you too! I'm doing OK here... last week was a little rocky but I'm doing much better now. I don't know how much you guys look into nutrition but I've noticed that I consistently take in about 1/2 the protein I should be taking in.. So I had to reevaluate my "diet" last week and order some supplements.…
  • Amy, I think you are right. Less gravity, spring boards... something! Fire 40 today. I did that and PiYO Drench... I'M POOPED! But I'm also very happy with myself for completing them. Keep up the good work everyone! I've noticed a couple people taking days off (myself included), it must be the weather or something. It…
  • I agree that you probably don't NEED a rest day from walking. The exception being if you are completely new to walking and are finding yourself sore most of the time and your muscles feel fatigued/ in need of rest.
  • Fire 30 for me today as well! This workout just ticks me off. It is SO fast paced and she switches the moves too quickly.. To say I'm struggling would put it mildly. But, I finished it so that makes me happy. I definitely feel like I have more energy now, so hopefully I can move through this week as planned.
  • @therealgem I use a heart rate monitor (polar ft7) So I log the calories that it says I burn. I'm not sure what the others do here....
  • It used to bug the heck out of me when people would say that to me. My coworkers were saying that to me once and told me I didn't need to workout because I'm so skinny. I looked at them and said... "You've never seen me naked, I do need to workout." Now I tell people that I'm not too skinny, I'm healthy, and I flat out…
  • So this week has been a bust. Each day I have woke up feeling a little worse and working out just hasn't happened. So, on Monday I'm going to start with this week. I'll be a week behind everyone but that's OK. I don't know what the deal is.. this is like the slowest come on of sickness I have ever dealt with. :s
  • I agree with Amy. 4 pounds in 3 weeks is actually pretty good progress. Stick with it and you'll be at your goal in no time. I personally don't have much to lose, so I'm only losing about .5 pounds per week on Turbo Fire but I'm starting to see definition in my abs (which I have NEVER had in my entire life)!! Plus my legs…
  • Wow! There is no way I could eat that much before a workout... maybe half that, maybe. @Cherimoose I do lift weights, just not right now. I cycle between a couple months of lifting weights and a couple months of PiYo. Someday I will try a combination of the two but for now this is what works.
