  • @jacksonpt I do eat after my workout.. I'd say within the hour. I have breakfast which is usually toast & pb with milk or OJ with a protein bar... anything along those lines. I will look into the BCAA supplement. Thank you for your responses! I really have been trying to research all of this but it's seriously overwhelming…
  • Well, it's not an actual pre-workout supplement. I take 1 lipo 6 (regular formula) before my workout. I've tried C4 but it just didn't give me the same energy boost.
  • So, this week has not been good for me. Monday I couldn't get into my workout due to lack of energy (even with a pre-workout). Tuesday I pushed through but didn't get a good burn- Fire 40 that day. Wednesday I just stayed in bed. Today though... Today I got my butt up and did PiYo.. I know that's not part of TurboFire, but…
  • If you feel like you have the energy to burn then go for it! Just pay attention to how you feel before, during, and after your workout. I usually workout when I'm sick.. however, this week it's just not happening because I feel awful and exercising isn't helping. So I'm resting and will pick it back up when I feel better.…
  • It sounds to me like you are moving in the right direction. Like it has been stated muscle weighs more than fat. You can easily become smaller in size while weighing the same, especially since you mostly lift weights. You are replacing the fat with lean muscle. :)
  • Fire 30 this morning... I'm having a pretty rough day. I couldn't even complete the workout I was so fatigued. I really hope I'm not coming down with something.
  • Glad you did your research. Corset training is an unfortunate and unsafe fad going around right now. Learn to love the body you have, then work on being healthy and fit.
  • Well, we finally got some snow here! They initially said 1" but changed it around noon yesterday to 6-8".. I'm thinking we have closer to 8 and it's not done snowing here. Plus the wind is blowing about 30mph so we are going to have some pretty big drifts. I guess ask and you shall receive, right? ;)
  • I use a Polar ft7. It actually monitors my HR and gives me a calorie burn based on my HR and the stats I have entered into it. I love it! I used to have a FitBit but found that it miscalculated with workout videos since it mostly counts steps rather than heart rate.
  • Fire 40 today... Done with week 4! Woo Hoo!! Tomorrow I will weigh and measure myself to see how I'm doing. Hope everyone has a great weekend! We are finally getting some snow here, so I will be chilling in the house and enjoying the beauty of snowfall.
  • Mindlessly eating when I'm at the computer. I used to sit down and eat a bunch of cheez-its or M&M's. Now I refuse to keep them in the house... but I still find myself mindlessly looking through the cupboard for muchies.
  • Well at least you know how to correct this.. Work on getting your significant other on board too, you guys can work on being healthier together. Good luck on your weight loss journey! You can do this!
  • I weight once a week, Sunday morning first thing. I measure once a month too.
  • Andrea don't beat yourself up too much. I think 2 rest days a week is just fine, and you have to make this work for you! I was going to check out your food diary then realized I haven't "friended" you yet, so I sent a request. I used to eat back all my exercise calories plus some.. so I stopped logging my exercise…
  • HIIT 25 today. I definitely wasn't feeling it today. I didn't put in as much effort as I normally do. I'm just tired and ready for a rest day. I'm curious about this Boom I Got Your Boyfriend song. I might have to look it up on youtube just to see what you guys are talking about. 1 more day and I'm done with week 4/ month…
  • This morning I flopped my hand down to my leg, then paused to actually feel my leg.. then I thought "Holy Smokes! My legs are actually firm!!" :D Also, I'm strong enough now to do tricep pushups on my knees without any problems and I can go about halfway down if I'm in a full pushup position.
  • Fire 40 today. I love the calorie burn this one gives me. I always hit between 350 and 400. Which for me is pretty great! 2 more days and I'm out of week 4!! It's kind of crazy to think that we are almost done with the first month already...
  • Of all the weight loss products and fat burners I have tried in the past, none of them gave me results that stuck. Honestly you are better off without them. They do horrible things to your body and being a "quick-fix" you won't keep the results unless you change your habits and keep them.
  • Well, this is random, but I have to vent a little. My Dr is trying out a new preventative med for my chronic headaches & migraines. This particular med has a well known side effect of weight gain. Most people claim to have gained 20-40+ pounds on this med. Its due to an increase in appetite and in carb/ sugar cravings. I'm…
  • Low HIIT 20 today. I was pretty groggy so it was hard to get into it, but I still managed to get a good burn.
  • I'm impressed that you can sit on the coffee table and do the workout! Do what the Dr says though, then come back 100% :)
  • Fire 30 today. Brand new workout for me today. It's kind of fun learning new moves, but I don't get as good of a burn since I'm pausing all the time to figure out what is going on! Great job everyone!
  • I'm also working on my 2nd round of PiYo. Don't worry about your flexibility starting out, she shows plenty of modifications. As far as core goes, this is THE workout for strengthening your core in my opinion. I've never had a stronger core than when I'm doing PiYo.

  • HIIT 25 today and PiYo. Amy, what did you do to your ankle? Great job everyone! Can you believe that we are nearing the end of January already??
  • Fire Starter today. Week 3 complete!!
  • Wow Andrea that would be an irritating situation. I wonder if you boss thinks now the bar is raised higher?? Low HIIT 20 today. I give myself a 9 or 10 for effort. I really pushed today.
  • Amy I completely forgot to answer your question about the Fire Starter class.. It's like any other class. I think it's about 30 minutes long. She just works a little more with talking you through the moves and breaking them down, but you are moving just as much as the other classes. It helps get you used to combos before…
  • Woo Hoo Lexi! That's one way to take care of the calories from a day-gone-wrong. Amy, you will think I'm crazy but I wish it would snow here.. We haven't had much and I'm really worried about spring and summer if we don't get much moisture now. Not to mention it's too warm now and the bugs/snakes think it's time to come…
  • HIIT 25 today. This was a completely new workout for me this morning. I was excited until she said we would be doing a lot of leg moves... and she wasn't kidding! It was a little frustrating trying to keep up and learn the new moves but I got through it and got a decent burn. See you all tomorrow!
  • That does sound like a good day coach! Though I think Amy is nuts, beef and broccoli sounds amazing to me right now! :p I'm the light sleeper in our household so me getting up early doesn't affect my husband at all. He used to sleep right through me jumping all over the place. I did start to rub off on him though, so he…
