Yes! This! I get sick of trawling through all the entries with 'cups'. Just put in the freaking grams, people! (I'm calm, I really, really, am.....)

Crushing garlic. I LOVE garlic - would add it to every single meal if I could. But garlic crushers are messy and annoying, and I haven't mastered the chef's way of using the flat side of the knife blade. It's a good thing I don't mind getting bigger chunks of the stuff every few mouthfuls! Oh, and cleaning up afterwards.…

Could you weigh/measure the total marinade, and then weigh/measure how much will be thrown away. The difference is what gets logged.
-
Could you buy a pint, invite a group of friends around, and split it with them? That way you are getting a smaller portion, satisfy the craving, and have some fun with your friends at the same time.

Today was my daughters once a month pizza day, I decided to just order a chicken & bacon salad for myself. They threw in a free garlic bread, which is something I would normally inhale, but the neighbourhood birds got it instead

Substitute aioli for the ketchup and you just described me. Aioli is the one thing I can't have in the house.

And at the bottom of every testimonial "results not typical". Aha.

I am not a morning person, so have a strict routine in order to get my daughter to school and myself to work on time. Up at 6.40, breakfast at 7.25. However, that is only during the week, and only because I do a really good zombie impression in the mornings. As others have said, meal timing doesn't matter, eat when you are…

10 kilo mark I bought a whole lot of pedicure products as I thought my feet could use some pampering. 20 kilo mark will be a tattoo - been meaning to get one to celebrate giving up smoking, so this is when I'll get it. At goal (which is a freaking long way off), I will get another tatt. Still figuring out what rewards I'll…

Weighed in today and hit 20lbs lost. Starting to feel like this might actually be doable.

My two favourites are: garlic prawns (olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, prawns), and then stir through the zoodles skinny carbonara (olive oil, garlic, diced chicken, mushrooms, turkey bacon, low-fat cream - just a little bit, seasonings) stir through the zoodles, and top with a bit of parmesan.

Wouldn't know, sorry. I eat some chocolate every night for supper. I look forward to it, I savour it, and I log it. Could you buy some of the kids share packs and just have one each night?
-
Dammit. They don't sell them here in NZ.

There's DIET Smirnoff????? Right, see you guys after the hangover...

I thought I was fat when I started high school, and that's what started me on 20+ years of yo-yo dieting. In hindsight, I looked fantastic, but had developed earlier than all my friends, so was comparing myself to them.
-
You can have what ever you like, just log it, and work it in to your daily calories. I have a major sweet tooth, so I always leave room in my calories for some chocolate and usually some ice cream at the end of the day. I'm six weeks in and 20lbs down, so it's not hindering my progress

I work with a semi-professional cyclist, an ironman, three triathletes, an ultra-marathon runner, and a large number of fitness freaks. In a society where something like 50% of adults are overweight, I could count us fatties on one hand....out of a staff of 80. They are so supportive of me, offering advice and help,…

Yep! My supper is pretty much always a mini Kit Kat and some rice pudding or ice cream. I've finally realised that depriving myself of the things I love will end up in failure. So I just fit it in to my daily calories.

I can see the headlines now "New weight loss craze: Sleep Weighing" lulz

If you're going to take on board any advice for your journey, this is it. Good luck, I've added you as a friend if you want some support

Feeling lazy today, so going to make a creamy garlic mushroom sauce and dump it over a big plate of spinach and steamed veg.
-
Both. I need to do this for myself, but I also need to be around for my daughter.
-
I'm making pizza, on a wrap with a tomato sauce made from roasted tomatoes, roasted garlic, lots of herbs, and a bit of olive oil. Toppings... spinach, mushroom, feta, ham, and parmesan. Made one for tonight and a second to take for lunch tomorrow. Waiting for the oven to ding now

Knickers are getting baggy! *happy dance*
-
Logically I know that, but that little b**** voice in my head always thinks the worst, and she wont shut up sometimes.
-
Hate being *that person* but threads like this are why I'm terrified of going to the gym. I get that everyone is talking about the weirder things they've seen, but low-self-esteem me interprets this as "omg, everyone will be looking at me and judging me".

At last weeks weigh in I'd gained half a pound. At this weeks weigh in I'd lost 3lbs. Weight loss is not linear, there could be a multitude of reasons why the scales showed a gain at that point in time. Keep going, and see what next week brings. So long as the overall trend is loss, you're doing just fine.
-
To be honest, I've done neither. Currently 347 pounds (down from 364 *squeeee*), I'm not setting any goals at this point, just going day-to-day.

Drink water one glass at a time instead of having a bottle, that way you have to get up for water more often. Lots of water should also mean lots of toilet breaks, if you're in a multi-level building, go to another floor to use the bathroom - making sure you take the stairs.
