My dermatologist recommends at least 30 SPF. She also told me it only works for 2 hours, after which I need to reapply. Personally, I use a sunscreen in the morning and touch up with a powder SPF during the day, which also acts as a setting powder. Hats and UVA/B blocking sunglasses should do the trick as well! Also, look…

Refined grains...whole grains for me! Goes for pasta, cereal, bread, ect.

Especially when the cast off leftovers not filling in a wholesome way and are full of sugar. Many poor and homeless people can't afford dental care. This was a big reason why the food bank I volunteer with does not give out candy-despite the huge amount that is donated.

Needed to hear this!

Try going on a fast? For me, it helps to go hard and know there is an eventual end date. Taking some time off from fast food completely will force you to get more creative and find solutions that work for you. And it's easier to rise to the occasion when it's not necessarily permanent. But that's just how I operate.

I'm with you! My theory is that when I'm not thinking about my weight, I'm not noticing it so much in how I look and feel. But when my mind is on losing, I'm more conscious of the extra fat and how it feels on my body.

This is totally normal! Be kind to yourself-it takes a long time to get through these things. My advice would to be sure to exercise regularly. It can burn off a lot of the stress and keep the muscle mass up. Also, are you not eating just because you don't feel like it, or because the grief gives you an upset stomach? If…

Welcome! Where are you from in India? I spent last summer in Delhi and saw some beautiful places in northern India

That's a hard one. I'll go with The Book Thief. Where were you when you took your profile picture?

On mission in Kenya until August but based in DC! I live in Dupont. I love Northside Social as well. I am also a big fan of the coffee at Soho.

At this point, I am not even thinking about whether I want to be thin or not. I am just trying to not be overweight anymore! I'm someone who gets intimidated by ultimate end goals. Right now, I am just keeping my eyes on the prize of being under 25 for my BMI!

Yes! I had a dream about eating a big plate of nachos last night at my favorite bar.

If you don't start now, things will just get worse. Imagine yourself even more overweight-you don't want that, do you? But that is where you are headed if you don't get back on track. Life happens, weight goes up sometimes, and that is okay. What is important is that you can turn yourself back around.

Cutting out juice helped me.

Nothing wrong with the calories or the "chemicals". My problem is that the sweetener primes me to crave sweet things.

Every day, even if you haven't lost anything, is an accomplishment. It means you have successfully kept the weight off! When I experience the inevitable frustration with slow loss, I remind myself that at least I am not gaining weight. That's where I would be if I was not doing this! I'd rather be losing weight slowly than…

I had headaches when I started cutting back on calories. They went away in less than a week. I couldn't find any reason, other than that I had drastically cut back the amount of food I was eating. Maybe with a little time, your body will adjust too.

To be honest, I don't think I ever will truly feel fit. There is always something to improve on. But I am fit in the sense that I can go about my day with no hindrance from my body-that is a blessing!

This is why I am looking forward to having children.

I try to eat as healthy as possible most of the time. I suppose that could fit the definition of "clean". I tried the moderation approach, but it didn't work as well. If I have one cookie, I want to have two more. If I take away cookies as an option, I really don't even crave them because they are something I can't have.…

I used to eat whatever I wanted within my calorie range, and I was able to lose weight. The problem is, I didn't feel very good. If I ate, say, a pastry, it could take up a third of my calories for the day, and I'd be hungry in an hour. It's much easier for me to stay under my limit and have the energy I need for the day…

Actually, the lists are based on USDA data on the amount of pesticide residue found in non-organic fruits and vegetables after they had been washed.

I had my first date and first kiss at age 21. I remember how it felt back when I was 20! Plenty of guys available in the college party scene, but I wanted my firsts to be with someone that I actually cared about. It saved me a lot of heartache. No regrets here!

I would argue that if she and her man were in a good place, she wouldn't have put him in that situation. Even if she knows nothing is going to happen, it's not a respectful thing to do. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for your partner and put their emotional needs over having a good time.

I think the size of a healthy woman should be whatever SHE wants it to be :)

It doesn't matter for weight loss. But if you don't want pesticide residue in your food, google the Dirty Dozen and the Clean 15 to see when it's worth going organic.

I used to be in this situation with a roommate. I didn't actively hide that I was trying to lose weight, but I tried to be sensitive. I didn't log in front of her if I could help it, and I didn't bring up weight loss in conversation unless she initiated.

Once you get to a low enough weight, reverse crunches might help. It gets at the lower part of the abs
