Something I heard a weight loss coach say, that has really stuck with me, is "It's not what you do ALL the time, it's what you do MOST of the time". One day of maintenance (or even over) is not going to derail your entire progress. Do what you need to do, then get back into your routine.

I had a total hysterectomy at age 30. I do remember before that there were a few days a month when I would have gladly eaten the wallpaper paste. But those few days a month weren't why I was overweight. Also, I'm sure this is not true of everyone, but everyone I've ever known that had a hysterectomy put on weight…

I had my shirt pulled up while I buttoned my jeans. I happened to look in the mirror and had to do a double take. There are "indents" on both sides! I know that sounds weird, LOL. I have actual curves! Now, granted, they don't curve out to my hips, they curve out to the fat that is still my lower torso. But 10 months ago…

I'm not sure you can pre-load, but as you go, the foods you've logged will show up in the "recent" tab when you click "Add Food". That doesn't help at first but after a short bit, it saves you a lot of time. Does that help? There's also this I found in the help pages: How do I add an item to "My Foods?" 1 year ago Updated…

I had a total 16 years ago. I was 30. Several people told me at the time that I would probably have to go through menopause twice. I'm not sure if this is ok, I hope so, but there is a website that might really help you find your answers. It's hystersisters dot com. It's all women that have had or are going through having…

LOL, it's really all relative. If you will not use one, then yes, it's a waste of counter space. I know of several people though that cook almost exclusively in their air fryer, so I guess for them it would not be wasted space. I use mine quite a bit, but there are some things that when I want fried I really want to fry,…

I walked 5 miles Saturday evening. I started walking regularly about 2.5 months ago and when I started I was struggling to get 1 mile in. I remember after a couple weeks saying "I don't know about this, it's not getting easier" and I was ready to give up. I know that some of you walk 5 or more miles every single day, but…

There's no such thing as perfect, so go ahead and throw that idea away. I would suggest planning your meals well in advance. Know today what you are having for lunch tomorrow. And supper. And breakfast. That should reduce your frustration and set you up for success. A lot of people a lot smarter than I am will have other…

If it helps, you can do a negative entry. log your salad, then log -1 (or however many) serving of bacon and it will subtract those calories.

So I just need to compare total calories in on MFP with calories out on Fitbit? There is no way to sync the two? [/quote] You can log exercise in the Fitbit app, and it will give you "credit" for those calories burned in MFP. It won't show the actual exercise, per se, though. Does that help at all?

Congratulations on your success, you're looking great. You are obviously disciplined, you're going to crush nursing school!

I, too, used flavored toothpicks. I bought cinnamon and peppermint oils at Hobby Lobby (in the candy making aisle), and made my own. I still always have them in the car (I quit smoking the end of December), because that's where the desire hits most often/hardest.

The first time, a few years back, was because my son and his best friend were at my sister's house. She has a pictures of us on her shelf from when I was in high school. Son's friend said "Daaaaannnngggg, your mom used to be hot!" USED TO BE??? LOL. So I was determined to be "hot" again, lost some weight, and of course put…

30 day graph shows high 71, low 66. It looks like most days it's around 68-69.

I can now put my rings on without slathering my hands with lotion. Now, my NEXT NSV is going to be, I'm fixing to walk to the office kitchen to wash my lunch dishes, and I am NOT going to eat a slice of that banana nut cake I saw down there earlier because I came back to my office and looked it up, and it's 140 calories.…

I want to know how someone goes about eating 1 serving a day. I literally would not be able to take 2 cookies out of the box and put the box back in the pantry. Or, I could, but in 3 minutes I would be taking 2 more cookies out of the box. And then 2 more. I admire your will power. Best for me not to keep cookies.

I hope this doesn't sound stupid. I just got my Fitbit today, so I'm trying to figure it out. Are those calories left factoring in the goal of losing 1 lb/week? Or as long as that number is 500 or higher, you're on track? I don't think I worded that quite right.

I buy the packages of individual cups of ice cream (100 calories each), but then (and this is probably going to sound stupid) I eat it with a baby spoon. I get more bites, it lasts a little longer, and I feel like I actually ate ice cream instead of had a bite of ice cream.
