I have a cheat meal once a week usually, just to take a break from cooking going outside and have lunch. But even those days I try to keep my calories in the right limit. I might do some fast food once a week, at most.

My 2 cents: 1) If this is light enough, then go ahead. You should start all exercises light, at this point form is way more important than weight. 2) This will depend more on your diet. Nothing more beautiful than an empty gym (for my selfish purposes lol). I wouldn't mind a training buddy though, who kindly get my rear moving to go to the gym. So yeah, I currently work out alone.

Again, I am beginner, but for what I've researched this is actually the best position for avoiding wrist pains. That's the one I am currently using. I also added inverted rows to assist as a back exercise which I think also help to do chin ups.
