Suggestion: Put your stats into MyFitnessPal, set your rate of loss to 2lbs/week, eat the calories it tells you to eat. There is no reason, whatsoever, to eat so few calories. Especially with so much to lose. You need to fuel your body, and you're only going to hurt yourself in the long run by eating the way you're eating.…

Are you weighing/measuring everything you eat and choosing accurate entries from the database? I understand it's frustrating to not lose weight, but if you're in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight.
-
Well, you can't with that attitude.

I can't imagine that forcing yourself to eat after a workout is necessary, unless you're feeling faint and/or lightheaded. I get up early every morning to walk 2 or 3 miles, and the last thing I want to do after I'm done and sweaty is go eat. I say wait until you're hungry.
-
My activity level is set as sedentary, and when my walks each day total >5 miles, I tend to earn around 800kcal of extra food I can eat. That's made a huge difference for me in the past few months that I've been walking. I rarely eat over my weekly goal now, I'm dropping weight faster than expected, and it's helping my…

When I started losing weight a few years ago, at 368lbs, I dropped 30lbs in less than two months (July - September). It was from massive water weight loss, overtraining, and under eating. At her weight, it might be possible, but not healthy.
-
Your husband is making things up, or is misinformed. I lift at 300lbs. You're not too fat to lift.
-
My vote is for #1!

If you're losing faster than you should be, eat more of your exercise calories. No one can say for sure if the numbers are inflated or not, you simply have to try it out and see.

3 weeks, it just ended yesterday and I lost 3lbs in two days. But my period right before the plateau was wonky, so I'm guessing that's what caused it. I know I was 100% accurate with CICO the entire time, as my Fitbit has been pretty spot-on for over two months before the plateau started.

Doing fasted cardio does not lead to danger to safety and/or health unless you feel faint for some reason. I do fasted cardio every morning, as others in this thread have stated, and there is no danger. If you like doing it, OP, then do it. There aren't any advantages (calorie burn wise) versus doing it after eating,…

@hjlourenshj MFP does not calculate calorie goals via the TDEE method.
-
Are you weighing your food, choosing the correct entries, and accurately logging everything you eat including condiments and butter/oil? I'm 6'0", 300lbs, female, walking around 6 miles a day, and can eat up to 2400kcal a day and lose over 2lbs a week. There's absolutely no reason for you to cut your intake so much.…
-
@hjlourenshj This is false. MFP's activity level takes normal, everyday activity into account. It does not factor in exercise. If the OP is exercising, OP should be eating some, if not all, of those earned calories back.

I've fought severe binge eating since I was an early teen. I was almost 100lbs down two years ago, before binging for a year because of stress and regaining around 70lbs. I finally managed to get a hold of myself about 3 months ago. I had to force myself to quit stopping at places for food every time I got in my car. It…

I'm probably on the "active" activity level during the week, I usually get more than 10k steps a day and end up with a Fitbit adjustment of around 800kcal most days. But on the weekends if I don't purposefully get out and walk, I end up having a negative calorie adjustment from my Fitbit even though my MFP activity level…

I started out at 368lbs, I'm currently fluctuating around 310~312, so I know where you're coming from. My advice is just to count your calories. If you find it hard to stay within the goal MFP gives you, then do what I do and walk! You don't have to do fancy workouts if you don't want to, I just walk and it's helped me to…

I tested over a three month period, activity set to sedentary and eating back my Fitbit calories. It worked well, I lost at the rate I was supposed to.
-
I'm 6'0", if that's close enough! :# 312 now, down from 368. Aiming for 168.
-
What I said still stands, that's how MFP is setup to be used.
-
Your activity level is for how much you move normally, not counting exercise. If you don't move much, set it to sedentary and add your exercise in separate.
-
I would advise you to eat the calories MFP gives you, including exercise calories. You should be able to have at least some estimation as to what you're burning through MFP's database. Besides that, I wouldn't worry about losing quickly unless it goes on for several weeks. I had two weeks of rapid weight loss last month, I…

If you like to snack in the evenings, save some calories for it. That's what I do.

I did Nutrisystem a few years ago for about six months. Not only did it not teach me anything about proper portion sizes or eating the right amount of food to fuel your body depending on your weight, the food was terrible. You might not think it's all that bad at first, but I swear I have nightmares about Bean and Ham Soup.

Take Magnesium Citrate for your Mg. Drink No-Salt in water for your K. It helped me a lot when I did keto.
-
I can eat around 2500 on most days and still lose over 2lbs a week. I'm tall, big, and walk around 6 or 7 miles on most days.

Not a nursing student, but I'm currently working on a PhD in chemistry so I have all the experience in this. Main help I can give is to not fall into the "I don't have time for doing xxx", whether it's meal prep or whatever. Make time. I worked full-time during undergrad, and my hours spent at grad school each week are way…

I regularly buy what I think are long shirts and the cashier will mention something about how cute that dress is. I tend to still buy it, though, and wear it as a long shirt as I planned.

I have quite a bit more calories to work with because of my weight, height, and walking 6 or 7 miles a day, but I find a breakfast of eggs to be quite low calorie. I eat 3 or 4 eggs, a few thin slices of ham, some cheese, and mushroom slices, all scrambled together. It's honestly my favourite meal of the day.

I love to snack, I eat smaller meals so I can snack. However it fits your calorie goals, eat how you want.
