I am currently doing a Cyclical Ketogenic Diet (CKD). Why do you need a protein shake to hit your protein goal when restricting protein to less than 25% of your caloric intake?

Definition comes from reducing bodyfat which requires a calorie deficit. Muscle mass comes from progressive training and a calorie surplus.

Setting yourself up to fail I'm afraid. Undereating normally results in binging at some point.

I reasonably regularly fast for 20+ hrs before weight training. A spot of caffeine goes a long way. If you are focusing on gym performance (strength training), I would say this is not optimal though.

Metabolism is fairly constant but TDEE can vary.

Being a realist does not make one negative. Why tell people they can achieve the impossible when it will lead to frustration after minimal results.

You could probably lose 10+ lbs of scale weight. But realistically only 5ish lbs of fat.

A ketogenic diet is defined as being under 100g of carbohydrates a day. It is HIGHLY unlikely you are in ketosis at 150g but without testing with ketostix and/or a blood glucometer, you do not know.

I used the word "unlikely" for a reason. A woman in a calorie deficit is not going to build muscle. If you think otherwise, you are delusional.

For the average person there is no point.

1) Lift weights and use a proper progressive programme 2) You are unlikely to gain muscle and lose fat. Pick a goal.

That weight/height/bodyfat will put you into bodybuilder territory! This is not aimed at you specifically, but a general rule: you are always fatter and have less muscle than you think. Don't be surprised if you have to cut 60-70lbs to look anywhere near to your goal physique.

If he had elite genetics he wouldn't be posting on an online forum asking for basic advice. He'd be lean and muscular with average nutrition and training.

Have you had a blood test done to determine if your test levels are low? You've been dieting and feel fatigued, this is normal. If your test levels are low then you may be able to get TRT if it's causing real issues but any "natural" pill or supplement that claims to boost testosterone is rubbish.

You may gain lean body mass but that's not necessarily muscle fibre.

It's possible but not healthy and could probably only be done by an extremely overweight person, with a high TDEE and a certain very illegal "supplement".

My post was an exaggeration of the fact that his upper body looks to be 25-30% so his lower body would have to be shredded to average sub 20%.
