My husband has been on the keto diet for a while, and he has definitely lost weight pretty effortlessly. But, I also think it is easier for him to stick to it because someone cooks for him (that would be me lol). You should plan on cooking a lot!! It is hard to find prepared meals and snacks. In the beginning, it seemsβ¦

I know they are more of a keto thing, but have you ever tried fat bombs? They serve a few purposes for me- they fill me up (I can barely finish a whole one...and I can EAT lol), they satisfy my sweet tooth, and they seem to give me a boost of energy (might be all in my head who knows). I don't eat a low carb diet inβ¦

I am the same way, and I have found that natural peanut butter and an apple fills me up more than any other snack!

My daughter was also training to be a professional dancer, and we used to joke that the two main food groups for professional ballet dancers were red bull and cigarettes lol. But seriously, dance is HARD and I can only imagine the calories dancers expend. I would expect the pounds you want to lose to come off very slowlyβ¦

I like natural peanut butter with an apple or a banana, dark chocolate/whipped cream/strawberries, plain greek yogurt with a homemade blueberry/peach sauce, baked apples with cinnamon

I personally love the premier protein shakes because they are cheap (at Costco anyway) and they taste pretty good...but my husband also has some issues with his stomach when he drinks them?! It might be whatever artificial sweetener is in them.
-
My favorite protein has to be canned salmon from Costco- it has to be from Costco because the other brands are mushy and gross lol! It is inexpensive, doesn't have to be refrigerated, you can just open it and put it on a salad or pasta or use it to make salmon cakes- I eat it almost every day. The runner-up is eggs!

I don't know if this has been brought up yet- but I considered myself to be a binge eater for many years. I could eat so much food and always seemed to be hungry, but I never related to other binge eaters because there wasn't an emotional reason...I just really, really love food! That being said, I was pre-diabetic and wasβ¦

For some reason, I have associated "clean eating" with cucumbers...whenever I read about someone eating clean I picture them eating sliced cucumbers and only sliced cucumbers...I don't know why

It is just a temporary diet- about a week and a half- for diverticulitis. I thought other people might have had it because it is apparently quite common. I do have a list of ideas from the GI doc, I just thought other people might have a fave food or something else off the list with low fiber- no big deal, thanks though
-
Wow- your weight loss so far is impressive and inspiring! You should feel very proud of yourself!! I know from experience that those last few pounds are definitely the hardest to take off so just keep at it and don't expect a lb a week or even 1/2 lb a week- it might even be like a lb a month...but it will come offβ¦

I weigh every single day and expect a fluctuation of 1-5 lbs.
-
Unfortunately no you cannot spot reduce, and I also had issues with belly fat that I never thought would come off! But, it finally did over time- you just have to keep on weighing food, logging, and counting calories- I did have to be especially strict when I got closer to my goal weight.
-
No need to drink ACV unless you just really like the taste (which I cannot imagine lol)- just stick with CICO!
-
Exactly what I experienced! It is really terrible!

I quit drinking diet coke because I did not want any addictions...and trust me I was addicted! I know this may be hard for some to believe, but I actually had severe headaches and even felt sick to my stomach every time I tried to stop. Maybe I am just more sensitive to caffeine than others, but the withdrawal was so bad.β¦

Yes! Absolutely- my oldest son believes climbing played a large role in treating his anxiety...which sounds crazy because it seems like such a stressful activity to me. He also free solo climbs sometimes, so maybe he just likes the adrenaline rush lol- I tell him he is just transferring his stress to me when he free climbsβ¦
