  • Love it canadianlbs! Thx for sharing and that makes sense. I really want to Foucault's on strength as well as conditioning so I will play with food intake/calorie sources and rest days. Might keep running off map till HIIT training ends in 2 weeks which will give me time to play with the previous two factors a bit more.

  • Ty BarbellCowgirl and dnamouse! Very helpful. Right now I am doing 2-3 x/week HIIT 75 min in addition to 5x5 and some much more low key cardio just to help burn more calories when I can. I am finding my legs are getting really fried though so I may need to change things up a bit.

  • I am just starting 5:2 but have fasted/cleansed over the past 25 years on/off - mostly way off since having kids. SLEEPING is the hardest for me. It really revs my system up at night. I can eventually get to sleep but I wake up super early. I don't feel hungry, just tired and revved at the same time.
