Ahhh Jen I feel your pain. I was doing step ups today and TWANG there goes my calf muscle. My first thought was oh no i wont be able to exercise at all. Not oh dear do I have a tear or rupture. I hope the ankle is starting to come good and you can get back into it. I understand the frustration is real. Keep up those core…

YOu sound like you are getting all over this Lottie. Those walks are amazing and it's true once you start sleeping and your body can repair you will see the weight come off. Also when you first start you build up muscle so the loss doesn't seem as big but it's there. Look for it in your clothes and the way you move. IS it…

Wow that T25 program sounds massive. Good on you for giving it a red hot go. You inspire me to do more and push my own boundaries. Take care of your body on your rest days and maybe get the ice happening on those knee joints in particular to hose down any inflammation. You are going to be a machine before long

Wow the highs and lows of getting healthy and being active. Yesterday I was celebrating so many non scale and scale wins. I have lost 2kg (4.4lb). I was able to complete a full core session and do many exercises without stopping. I felt like i could conquer the world. Today i woke quite body weary cause i really smashed it…

I found another motivating factor for my weight loss today. I went to the shops to buy a new racer back bra. Because im a large person it is really hard to find one. Then i was looking at all the star wars clothes and other nice stuff and none of it is in larger sizes. It's like once you get past a size 16 (aussie sizes)…

Surgery is 14th March. We're 4 days in to the optifast week and she has already lost 2kg (4.4lb). I'm so proud of her. She's doing it tough but she keeps going.

So I had a lightbulb moment today. I realised that I started Feb using one set of scales and ended it using another. So I did a scale comparison and the new scales are weighing me 1.6kg heavier than the old ones. So when I did the math I actually only gained 400g which can totally be explained by muscle. Also I see…

Ok so at the start of Feb I weighed 115.9kg (255.5lb). For the most part baring a few cheat days here and there I have eaten reasonably well. I also joined a gym and really got serious about increasing my fitness. I averaged 3-4 times a week and around 40 mins per session. So today start of March i weigh 117.8kg (259.7lb)…

Did my Cardio day today and OMG my body burned in places i didn't know it could burn. My fitbit tells me i managed 6 mins of Cardo Heart rate and 37 mins of Fat burn Heart rate. I was pretty happy with that. Tomorrow is a rest day. I'm thinking of planning out my week as Gym mon and tues , Rest Wed, Gym thurs and fr, rest…

ok i have to ask. What is T25??? It sounds rather brutal. Keep going with it. Your body might be crying now but it will be singing soon

Way to go with the plateau smashing. That is awesome. And mindfulness will definitely help you lose a few more of those kg. I definitely recommend the body comp scan. I posted a few of the results on my blog in here. Check them out. I'm looking forward to 6 weeks time when i have another one done to see the changes

So not a fantastic day today. I had thoughts of going to the gym but life kinda got in the way and when i did have some spare time i was feeling really tired and my knees have been hurting really bad today. My left knee decided to build up some fluid and my right knee has been very crunchy and giving me a lot of grief…

Isn't it awesome when you have a massive workout. You feel like you are going to die at the time but once its done you feel like you can conquer the world. Congrats on the great workout. Oh and I want your shower. It sounds lovely

I have given the AB challenge the flick for now. It was just a little bit beyond me. I saw the chiro and he sorted my back really well. The only thing is by the time i got home it had slipped out again. Basically my ribs are jammed up. I'm going to ring and get an appointment again in the morning to have another…

DOn't forget you are doing more activity and therefore gaining some muscle. That will offset any fat loss you have on the scales as muscle is heavier. I'm having that issue at the moment

Bad pain day today. I am aching from my neck to my lower back. For some reason my back has not enjoyed my venture in exercise. I'm all good when im doing it but afterwards i am so stiff and sore. I don't know if im reacting to the food i'm eating or my weird body mechanics are making life difficult. I have numerous food…

Hey Lottie I have just read your story and I have to say, you are an inspiration to me. The way you are being so pro active about managing your grief as well as tackling healthy eating and exercise is just amazing. Like you I have dodgy knees that fill with fluid every 10 days (they say because of my weight but who knows).…

@LottieStanley I paid $50 for my test but apparently some gyms have it free for their members. Even though i live in a biggish city we are quite backward but if you google body composition scan for your area it should tell you where you can get it done. Apart from signing up at my gym its the best money i've spent. I know…

Keeping fingers crossed for you. Hope it works out

I'm like you not seeing a lot of movement on the scales but some upward trends. Good on you for creating a triathlon…
