  • My mini goal is to just make it through the weekend within my calorie goals. After a back injury and two year hiatus, I lost most of the progress I made. I’ve done well so far and really want this to stick.
  • To make March my month for getting back on track! For real, not just for a few days or until the weekend. And to at least lose 5 pounds would be awesome.
  • To stay on track, I’ve been back in full swing for a full two days after a few months off. The good thing is I’m still within 5 pounds of where I was, which means habits were mostly sticking. I feel good being back, it’s not a negative mindset like I had for awhile. I’m excited about this again. (Which I guess is also my…
  • So sorry about all your losses @Teamadden . My advice to you would be to take it slow, make small attainable changes first which will lead to bigger ones and long term success. And make sure you get a good scale to weigh everything, it really makes all the difference. Good luck!
  • Haha! 100% has been on my mind lately! Also, 3 weeks until I'm in my first wedding as a bridesmaid, followed by my first time as a maid of honor literally 3 weekends later. I've let this summer get away from me a bit, but have been on top of things the last two days and plan to continue with those events as motivation! 3.5…
  • I don't know if I'm just unusually lucky, but none of my friendships have changed at all? I've lost 50 pounds, which I think is pretty substantial. I have more to go but I can't imagine anything will change, our friendships have nothing to do with my, or their, weight. Also, I've definitely gotten more male attention, but…
  • I originally wanted to run every day in July, sometimes just short ones, sometimes longer to get my activity in. Well, real life happens and that hasn't worked already, so I altered my goal to run 31 miles. A mile per day's worth of running.
  • Jack Links peppered beef jerky, carrots with light vegetable dip, strawberries and pineapple, sometimes just a pre portioned out serving of chips! (Usually Doritos or pretzels)
  • Today I was laying out in our little pool, got out for a few minutes, realized it wasn't THAT hot. (I mean it really was, it was 80 degrees, but it was cloudy, so no direct sunlight which made it bearable) so I decided instead of putting my run off until night, I'd go then. And I did. Still proud of myself for this.
  • I just ate some Oreos.. and I'm down 50 pounds. Everything in moderation and you'll learn what's worth the calories for you and what isn't. Sometimes that's the most surprising, what you no longer want. But on the other hand, I will never not eat pizza. And I eat it a lot. It's a lifestyle, not a diet, find what fits your…
  • My goal is 10 pounds for the month of July! I went on a lot of mini trips throughout June that slowed my progress quite a bit and I won't be doing that in this upcoming month so I'm ready to be super diligent and see if I can get this goal accomplished. I would be very happy with 8, but I'm going to shoot for the 10!
  • I save more calories for night time. I'd rather have a big dinner or have room for a snack at night than even out my calories for the day. Maybe see if you can save 100-200 cals for the time when you want to snack and come up with things you like that'll fit the calorie amount?
  • I literally an entire long weekend drinking all of the beer and not tracking my calories at a camping music festival. So the scale focused part is today I'm only up 1.8 pounds (which is down from yesterday too, hello water retention! Lol), the NSV is the fact I'm not letting an upswing ruin my mood/day. It happens, I'm…
  • I'm kind of repeating what others said, but I work second shift so I'm on a similar schedule and I save a lot of my calories for night/after work. I usually eat light during the day, plus I'm not an immediate breakfast eater, I just don't want something right away. Then I've been taking either low cal snacks, or prepping…
  • You'll get there! I'm going out of town this weekend so I'm hoping to make it stick, but I realize I may have to hit it twice! Lol
  • I've finally hit 50 pounds lost, I would like to hit 60 lost by the end of August. Theoretically, it should be more by then, but with summer and ll the activities I think this is more reasonable!
  • Started February 2016, lost 50 pounds so far. Taking a bit longer than I wanted/planned, but I'm way happier now and the times going to pass anyways, might as well progress slowly instead of not at all!
  • Food scale! I think it's a necessity. Even after measuring for over a year, I still use it every day.
  • I woke up EARLY to run today. As a perpetual night owl, this is a big deal for me. Although, it was way too hot. I need to get up even earlier or stick to running at night, but I'm still happy for today.
  • You totally can still drink beer! I do. I try, key word being try, lately to only drink 1 night a week. But with it getting warmer and more bonfires and days at a lake etc it gets a bit harder, but anyways, just like anything else, plan it out. Log before you drink and try to follow what you plan, and if you mess up and go…
  • Turkey, I realized how much I love turkey sandwiches. And the fact that turkey tacos taste the same as beef, so does chili! So love making those home made. Carrots with vegetable dip. (I mix light sour cream with hidden valley ranch packet seasoning) I meaure out the amount and love it. Also! Edy's slow churned ice cream,…
  • I ran a 5k today!!
  • To get to 189! (And 50 pounds lost!)
  • So NSV one, I started feeling sick today. Throats starting to hurt and heads a bit cloudy, but I decided to run today anyways in case I can't over the next few if I get worse. So I ran instead of using my sickness as an excuse! Me! Also... drumroll please... On said run, I RAN TWO MILES STRAIGHT WITHOUT STOPPING. I've…
  • I have two. Is really love to be 189 by Memorial Day weekend, that would be a 50 pound loss! But it's 9 pounds away, so while possible, it may be hard! Also, I want to be able to run a 5k without stopping. I'm on week 6 of C25K, so hopefully this will be doable in the next month or two!
  • Today I was on my run. (Really walk/jog) but it was week 6, day 1 of C25K. For those who haven't done it, or don't have the days memorized (who would really?) its 5 minute warmup, 5 minute jog, 3 minute walk, 8 minute jog, 3 minute walk, 5 minute jog, cool down. Well I was on my last 5 minute jog and struggling a bit and I…
  • To finally get into onederland, only 5 away!
  • I don't think so, sorry that's not much help but I think you just need to add it all again. Hopefully, I'm mistaken and someone else can help/clarify. Good luck!
  • Don't stop until you're proud.
  • I saw it mentioned above but it's so good I have to mention it again. Edy's slow churned chocolate ice cream. It's 100cal per half cup so I usually do 2 servings. And if you like mint the mint chocolate chip is awesome too and 110cal per half cup. Delicious and so worth it. Better than original ice cream in my opinion.…
