I know what you mean--I grew up on an Indiana farmer's diet thanks to my mother and grandmother. Unfortunately, none of us were doing that farming workout :smiley:

Each time I've failed to reach my goal, I've picked up experience that helps me when I'm ready to try again. So, it's not wasted time. Good for you that you're giving it another shot.

For many reasons, in the past I've wanted the anonymity that comes from being the fat guy. Dealing with those issues has been an integral part of me finally being able to lose weight in a healthy way. I wasn't worried about temptation--I just didn't want the attention.

I don't get obsessed about when I get to eat, but I spend a lot more time than I used to thinking about what I'm going to eat. I got a little crazy about eating protein for a while. Truthfully, I probably didn't think enough about what I was eating before, so dialing it back a bit is a good idea but some of that is not…

I noticed my clothes fitting differently much earlier than seeing changes in my appearance. I agree with the others, once I hit 35 pounds I could easily see the difference in my face. Measuring helps a lot with tracking that you are making progress that you may not be noticing.
