Cutting out (refined) sugar helps me not be ravenous hungry all the time. Sugar brings out the glutton in me therefore it is evil to me and has to be locked away and only allowed on cheat days!

And the evil stuff is in EVERYTHING!!

Good question. For me I think sometimes my friend list feels like its a little inbred!

Thank you @jdscrubs32 (aka my knight in shining armour)!! If no 'Q's come forward then I'll hold you to it! ;)

I'm trying to complete my friends list alphabetically.....no I'm not OCD or weird or anything like that!! Usernames starting with the letter Q are impossible to find. If you are one please please add me as you are a rare collector's item!!

My Garmin watch (with a wrist HR) always awards me more calories when I run slower but spend more time running. On days when I'm Miss Speedy and run the same distance very fast (and feel I deserve a chocolate treat) I'm always disappointed with the relative low calorie burn.

I am competitive by nature and have a Garmin watch. I actually find myself less motivated to cycle and swim now as I don't get 'steps' for those and can't win the step challenges! It's depressing when you have pushed your heart rate to near maximum and your prissy watch makes you out to be a slob. I say, take those alerts…

Thank you for posting this question, Ceeceeann! I just got a heart rate monitor watch from Santa

I read your post and immediately wanted to reply but then I remembered my daughter is now 6....not a toddler anymore!! I still feel like I am a mom to a toddler because it feels like it was just yesterday! So what I'm trying to say is that this time shall pass before you know it! No good advice....just that bit of…

It's okay, I can eat that, I am running today......when in reality my body is extremely fuel efficient and does not need much fuel to go!

Draw an imaginary line down your dinner plate, fill half with a green salad and then the other half your planned dinner.

I've set a goal on my Garmin.....to run/walk 150 miles by the end of the month. I know myself....I'm such a rebel...that if I tell myself to eat healthy and in moderation I'll eat even more!! So for me, I plan to run it off!!

Thanks for tips! So just to get a general idea....would you say you guys do strength training for about 1 hour, 3 times per week? If I go by mood....I'll probably only do 10 min per session!
-
Great, thanks for that. I think I'll start with body weight exercises on my non running days.
-
Great! This is something I can do! I'm in!

Thanks guys for the awesome advice! I kind of new it was right but needed that reassurance. Yes it will be my first marathon....that explains my need for reassurances! ;-) Thanks again for your help. xx

Omega oil supplements, like taking one or two primrose or flaxseed capsules removes hunger pangs

Have you dieted much in the past? I have dieted many times and it has definitely affected my metabolism adversely. Don't give up! Your body will eventually start burning fat for fuel! xx
