I purposely eat less Sunday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday aren't cheat days but I do have calories saved during the week to have some drinks or eat more.

It over estimates exercise calories, it under estimates distance by a lot even though I have tried adjusting stride length several times.

I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. Spent 7 years in Louisiana, and have been in Phoenix, Arizona for a year.

It is totally inaccurate. I've had a Fitbit Flex for a year and a half. I don't base any calorie decisions on its information. It simply serves to motivate me to be more active.

Soda water is calorie free, so are diet sodas. I love flavored vodkas or rum with Coke Zero or soda. Target also sells soda called Dry Sparkling that comes in multiple cool flavors. It is pretty low calorie and was made specifically for making cocktails. You can always get used to sipping liquor on the rocks too. I love…

Lots of people are vegetarian because they are opposed to killing animals not because they were health minded. My vegan friend will eat an entire package of Oreos with no thought to her health at all.

For me binge eating is always emotionally related. Getting my emotions under control through other means like writing, working out, or phoning a friend has been a good strategy for me. The other problem I have with binge eating is often not having enough things to do. Going to the gym and being more active helps fill up…

When suddenly you find yourself running when you are in a hurry and you struggled to walk fast before. When shopping for new cloths is frustrating and time consuming because you have gone down so many sizes that you struggle to figure out what sizes and cuts will fit. Shopping right now often involves taking three or even…

I'm a school teacher. Normally the first weeks of school result in very painful and bruised feet. Now 70 pounds lighter my feet did not bother me at all starting this year.

I have taken a bit of a "break". I am still logging everyday. I am still working hard to not overeat. Most days I eat a modest deficit but I needed a mental break. My partner and I just moved 1500 miles across the country to a new place, and started new and more demanding jobs. The stress has been unreal. I have been…

I cold brew mine overnight and it ends up highly concentrated. About two ounces of cold brew, 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond or cashew milk and ice. Sometimes I put in a few drops of Mexican vanilla extract or cinnamon. It's about 15kcals.

Yep. I do meals once in awhile. A whole day is too long. I really do just try to eat foods I like all the time so that it really does become a lifestyle. I have become ok most days with moderation.

Visited my parents. I hadn't seen them for a year due to living so Yes! This happened to me last week. It was weird.

I switched emotional eating with emotional working out. It has helped me deal with emotions much better. It also prevents a lot of stress for me. Walking, hiking, running, gym time, Power 90... If I need to eat a cookie I do but usually after trying exercise first.

How long has it been since you started working out more intensely? Whenever I up my workout routine I retain water like crazy for about a week.

I thought that the doctor who wrote the Adkins diet died of a heart attack...

You are doing so well! I started at 245 a year ago. I am down almost 70 pounds. I'm shooting for about 135 so that will put me at 110 pounds lost. (I'm 5'5".)

I had two close family members do it. Restricting calories to that level does bring rapid weight loss but in the worst possible way. They were severely vitamin deficient, super low iron, lost significant muscle mass, literally hit a point where they hardly had the energy to do basic day to day things. After they went off…

I did a 15 mile hike up and down a mountain yesterday with an elevation gain of 4900 feet. I haven't done it in twelve years! Looking forward to that hike was weight loss motivation all year this year.

Those odds really aren't that bad...

I'm surprised by people's responses... When I hit the overeating stage that many people call a plateau I realized that the two samples at Costco, the three French fries from my gf's McDonald's, and the extra bite or two during meal l prep make a difference... Depending on how many little extra bites you take it can be a…

Hiking related: I would not have the breathing problems I used to when hiking overweight. That walking on a treadmill at a super steep incline prepares you for going up the mountain. The squats and lunges I didn't do would have saved my knees in the downhill... Or to relate it back to the OP - just because you lost weight…
-
Avoiding the plateau is as simple as being honest with your calorie tracking, weighing and measuring portions, and readjusting your caloric intake as you lose weight. The only plateaus I have had have been when I got lazy about measuring and tracking and was eating more than I should.

I looked younger with a rounder face and fuller cheeks... Not sure I miss that though.

I love it. I've been regularly going for a year now. They have some great machines and I've worked with their trainers several times.

I guess I don't understand the relationship between getting your calories and having celiac disease. I have celiac, love food, and never have a problem. Eat more meat... Gluten free Oreos?

Depends on your age. Most max heart rate charts and training zone charts are based on how old you are. I regularly hit the 160's doing interval training but I don't stay there for sustained periods.

My first 10% I got a nice haircut. My second 10% I bought my fitbit. I'm coming up on my third 10% and I haven't decided yet... We just moved to an apartment with a nice big pool. I am thinking about getting a nice swimsuit.

Chipotle tacos are very reasonable depending on what you have put in them. Moe's tacos - same deal. BBQ places are good too if you get the chicken or turkey and are careful about your sides. I love Dickey's.
