My family and friends treat me the same, as always, because my personality hasn't changed. The frequency I've gotten hit on hasn't changed. My BMI is now low, and I'm underweight, so I'm trying to gradually increase my calorie intake, but what scares me, is the only change I've witnessed so far: women's comments towards…

Depends. Does it contain baking soda?

OP, you claim you don't each much during the day. If your late night snacking fits within your daily calorie intake, why worry?
-
Just clarifying, because the OP already clarified that she was asking for "health" benefits, and not weight loss at all. I do get your point, though.

Eat any foods that you like, that will satisfy your hunger, and still fit into your daily calorie intake of maintaining a calorie deficit for weight loss. No one is insisting you eat just fruits and vegetables all the time, and no one should, unless you owe them a living.

Ok, deep breath. I think I'm being misunderstood. I'm not at all disputing any of that. I am currently losing weight at a healthy clip following those best practices. What I'm saying, and I guess just not communicating very well, is that there seems to be a widely held perception -- and maybe this is just my own heightened…

Couldn't get past the "added sugar is the single worst ingredient in the modern diet" statement. People get fat, because they consume more than they burn, regardless of what food groups their calories come from.

If you didn't swap your buns for a cauliflower base, there is a higher risk of you being affected. Gluten can kill. Also, practise clean eating more often. Don't make this a daily occurrence. The sugar in the buns can cause you to be addicted to them too. 0/10. Would not recommend.

Agreed. No idea why comments, which are actually helpful are being flagged.
