  • My goal is going to be 105,000 steps per week. Certain days its impossible to get them to my 15k per day goal, but a weekly average is realistic for me. Time to wear the soles out of more shoes!
  • General consensus is to enjoy the fact that I'm fit then? Thanks for your comments! I'm just accepting that I'm an anomaly and I've been given some training advice from a fellow runner that wkll hopefully help me build up to some longer, stronger runs by spring. @wennim I use the GPS tracker on my fitbit as it…
  • If I'm honest, I'm not trying to go faster/further each time. Today was accidental for distance (I thought I was doing 2 miles but completely miscalculated as I'd been advised to change my route for safety reasons), I stopped as I normally run at night and today did around 10.30 and the sun surprised me and I'm conscious…
  • Oooh meat free prawns? Need a H and B shop!
  • I've bought it from Morrison's as that's all we had near my uni. They should have it, aldi don't sell it but if you're still having no luck Sainsburys is a definite!
  • I've really enjoyed reading everything here. I'm going to be vegan after everything containing animal products in my house is eaten or donated. I'm dairy free due to lactose intolerance and have only been eating omnivorously (?) because of living with others and it was easier. I have 70-90lbs to lose still (52lbs gone) so…
  • 4lbs off, added extra movement to everyday (walking a few bus stops instead of waiting etc), and shaved 1 minute off last week's 1.45mi run.
  • I do this too with slimming world, the meetings are really helpful and I follow the principles of the plan as best I can still, but it's calories I need to see logged as that's helping to explain the stall in my losses far more than simply weighing and measuring a small portion of my diet. If it works, it works.
  • I was fine until I found a dairy free version in asda!
  • Mine is closed because I log my binges and I think it's quite easy for someone to look at a binge and be like "you're not trying", when over a 1/3 of my life has featured binging and all bar the last 6 months have been dominated by unhealthy meals (yay for being an independent adult!). As soon as I can control that aspect…
  • I follow it because the 1/3 speed, 2/3 free works well for me. As well as syns and healthy extras which generally stop me over indulging. Certificates are surprisingly motivating too, but I still calorie count. I'm not going to lose weight following the plan eating 5000 calories a day -which is possibly if you see free…
  • My Dad and Step Mum did this diet a few years ago. I don't know the figures for losses, but my step mum went from a size 24 to a size 16 in about 4 months. She is now a size 26, and had no time in which she maintained her loss. My Dad lost quite a bit (5XL to 2XL) too, but is now AT LEAST a 5XL. I would advise you against…
  • I really do appreciate everyone's responses this evening, so thank you! Hate that I've hit a point of struggling after achieving so much!
  • I've not, but I'll set myself up for a 2 week maintenance now, so I'm not focusing too much on losing weight, and then come May I'll be ready and back on it. Looking at the calories to maintain (2750) they seem quite high, and aside from one major binge-y day, I've not gone over that even with all the junk. But hopefully…
  • I was just wondering where you would advise that I start with this? I'm a bit rubbish at meal planning, and lunch is basically the only meal that I manage to successfully eat healthily each day.
  • Thanks for all your input. With regards to calories for maintenance at target, they're identical to what I'm set to currently to lose 1.5lbs per week (which I raised as was struggling to eat in the 1700s because of all the junk food). Today I consumed 1878 kcals of pure shite (all logged and counted), yesterday it was 855…
  • I only log stuff that was a conscious choice for fitness, so I personally wouldn't log this. But as others have said, if I was too tired I'd skip the planned workout. It does definitely count though ☺
  • Feel free to add me ☺ I started in September 2014 and am 39lbs into my 119lb journey! Slow moving, I know but I'm getting focused now. I've been doing Slimming World and much as I love the concept and group support (still going), without calorie counting, there's no way I'm hitting my goal anytime soon!
