  • Lol, forgot to check back here after joining. Firstly, thanks for your honest evaluation of my diary! I mean it, yes I'd say pretty out of control sadly as well. Somehow I've been able to maintain a significant weight loss and a healthy weight for over 5 years (although barely, I am very close to going back into the…

  • Day 1 (starting again lol) - walking 30 min Day 2 - walking 30 min
  • Can you share the details? Looks like my commitment to things only lasts about 7 days :/ I'll have to start over I've had two days not following an exercise or diet regimen. Back at it tomorrow!

Day 4: I'm going to walk to get some plants for my porch today, it's 4 miles round trip. I think that's probably all I'll do today and maybe I'll do elliptical tomorrow.
  • Amazing loss, what was your starting weight or what do you weigh now?

  • Day 1: walking, 30 minutes. Day 2: walking, 30 minutes. Day 3: Elliptical! 60 minutes. I thought I was on Day 3 yesterday but unfortunately I'm a day behind, as I didn't know about the group until the next day...
  • Day 1: walking, 30 minutes. Day 2: walking, 30 minutes. Day 3: walking, 30 minutes.
  • Day 1: just walking, 30 minutes. Great job on the elliptical
  • You're 39?!? No way! If so you look terrific...
  • Yes I have this problem, best way to get calories back is through excercize, even at 5'1" you can get 500 to 1000 more calories with a long run! Like a 10K gives me about 500 and I'm 5'2" Good luck!
  • Right, it is math, while everyone's metabolism is a little different, you still need to create a caloric deficit, and its still just math.
  • You need to know exactly what your base metabolic rate is (search for BMR calculator) then you need to know exactly how may calories you are taking in from food (weigh and measure everything very accurately). You also need to know exactly how many calories you are burning from exercise. Then you can aim for a caloric…
  • I guess maybe you could completely change your perspective on how you view certain foods that you want to avoid. I understand that corn sugar is toxic, it gives people a fatty liver, causes scaring, the stuffs dangerous, so I avoid it, I guess out of fear. I mean you quit smoking because you don't want cancer right, I quit…
  • Oh yay, just saw the new tab on the spreadsheet for Feb, I'll carry on then...
  • Whoa... visiting there is on my bucket list...
  • Are you in the US or the UK? or somewhere else?
  • How lucky to live by the beach!!
  • Awesome! Just curious, do you walk to get around or do you make time in your day for an exercise walk? or both?
  • I'm at 119.5 but I feel a little like I'm cheating counting walking, I walk several miles every day commuting because its much easier than driving in traffic, so most of my miles are walking. If I count running alone, so far I only have 39 miles.
  • Yeh I'm liking the color coding, mine are red for running, green for walking, blue for biking and orange if it was a walk then a run on the same day. I think I have about equal miles walking and running, I am not a bike rider though, it seems to really exhaust me, I'd rather run those same ten miles than do them on a bike,…
  • I just went back and divided my two biking entries by two so now I'm at 92 so far, most of it walking and running.
  • Thanks! Yes I for some reason didn't think of that even though I also have multiple exercises lol I don't know why I didn't think about that, I might do it for my own and see how I like it, maybe an orange for a run/walk day...
  • Hi Lexbubbles! Thanks for setting up the spreadsheet! I know your supposed to divide your biking miles by two I guess, but what about color coding the mileage entries when we each put them in? Like Blue for Bike, and Red for Run and Green for walk, or something like that just to get an easy visual representation of what…
