  • @2020pinktogo I used to exercise in the morning, but now with an hour and 10 min commute to work, I have to do it during the work day. I know MANY people get up earlier than I do (545) but I just can't make myself do it. I bet you will have a great day at work! Now you don't have to exercise when you get home. WTG

  • @JanolaBarbara I know what you mean about enjoying being home. I love traveling and visiting but it sure is nice to get back to your own bed! It's nice to have a routine! Isn't it so difficult raising parents these days? I keep telling mine their life would be much easier if they would just come live with us, but they are…

  • Well, I got my walks in (2 15 minute walks through the day) and I did my 7 minute workout app at the house. Ate great until dinner when I bought a small pizza and ate on the way home thereby breaking two cardinal rules.... Don't eat when distracted and don't hide what you eat. Granted I am dressing up here. I guess you can…

  • @2020pinktogo its amazing our our "girl tools" end up being the most useful. I have a pink set now and it seems to be the one we use 90% of the time (mainly because it gets put back in it's pink case and back where it belongs. Great job on fixing the toilet. Even better on not needing marital therapy afterwards. Sometimes…

  • @JanolaBarbara welcome aboard! I don't think people today understand basic grammar rules. My last name is Crye and for some reason that silent "e" throws people! The travels sound fun, but you lost me on the rat. I must say though that after some thought it's actually perfect in that it's easily portable. What made you…

  • @2020pinktogo wow, customer service. I bow down to you. Rarely do you get to serve happy customers! I'm impressed that your company hired some special needs workers. Everyone likes to feel useful. It should be interesting the new things they learn from the others, however. I'm loving this name thing. That's one of the…

  • Hey everyone! I'm another recruit from @2020pinktogo. My name is Cindy. I am so pumped that she reached out as I am floundering out here. THis time last year I had lost about 30lbs and sadly have gained much of it back. So happy to have a small but active group to reach out to. A bit about me. I am a counselor by trade,…

  • Successfuly worked out. Even when i was suffering from sore throat. Likely just a sinus infection. But got some strength in anyway
  • That is a great quote.
  • That's a great idea. Thanks.
  • I'll check it out. Also, just saw a recipe in my Kroger mailer 2 medium sweet potatos peeled and cut into 1/8in rounds. Place in a large bowl and toss with 2 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/8 teaspoon each garlic powder and cayenne pepper, 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Pour…
  • I get the leg jiggle!
  • Tomorrow we have another craft fair. I have packed my snacks but know breakfast will be a challenge. I'll log my food though and make it work. It's going to be cold so does shivering count as exercise?
  • For the last several years, I have made sweet potatos with a Weight Watchers recipe that has maple syrup and orange juice. Not sure how I will do it this year since I am no longer a WW subscriber.
  • Went over to the hospital today to get my staff their Thanksgiving lunch. My goodness the carbohydrates. I have locked myself in the office with my salad and turkey.
  • @Lorri127 you are so right. I find that I like my FitBit because I can't cheat on it. I either walk my 10,000 steps or I don't. Of course, other exercises don't register on it, but I find that it's easy for me to cheat myself with the attitude of "i'll really start doing it tomorrow or next week". So when my husband asks…
  • It is a rainy ugly day today. I'm hoping the forecast is right so I can get out this afternoon and do some exercising. But if not, I have my workout planned for the office too. I did bring my lunch and snacks today. The patients are having breakfast for lunch so if I can stay away from the biscuits, gravy and sausage, I'll…
  • Everyone is coming to my house for Thanksgiving which means I get to control SOME of the food. I'll just have to ensure I avoid the gorging of the food I don't control, though love. I am also dedicated to getting out and exercising prior to the big dinner. Hopefully the weather will be nice so I can get outside, but if…
  • @Lorri127 We had an awesome sale! Even had to come back to the fabric store to get some more Christmas fabric for our last show of the season next weekend. I have made a pact with myself. I am LOGGING all my foods today (I'm aiming for this week, but realistically taking one day at a time) I just looked at that pic of…
  • Well, since you ask
  • I completely agree. We need to be focused on being healthy and flu usually means rest. Listening to our body is not easy but it knows what it needs. From knowing when it's hungry, sending us messages when it's full. Working out too much... Maybe rest muscles in day concentrating on something else on "sore days".

  • @katjord Wow, it seems that when you get motivated something seems to jump up and kick you, doesn't it? I hope you and the fam feel better soon. I do eat when I'm sick but as with others, I try not to keep bad things in the house. When I'm sick i want some good ole chips and salsa or a creamy soup. totally not good for me.…
  • Sometimes honesty is the hardest part for me. Honesty with myself. I get into the habit of thinking I'm doing good so I don't weight in quit logging my foods (I mean I eat the same thing all the time, right?) freaking wrong. I know what I SHOULD eat and what i think i am eating but then I hide what I'm really eating so I…

  • My next run is Jan 24. I'm determined to drop it below an hour and a 1/2. Maybe get my name on the leaderboard. @Lorri127 I feel you in the not losing weight zone. I was working out with a trainer for about a year and a half. Got really strong but no weight loss. I was basically eating crap, though. We can do this!

  • @wender125- I feel you. I have lost 50lbs this year and did awesome for about 4 months. Now, I can't seem to avoid fast food (and the poor choices available at fast food). During my "good months" i would go to fast food and get grilled chicken, fruit etc. Not so much anymore. I too have a running goal. I have joined a…

  • I don't think that's bad, but who am I to say. But I will tell you that every doctor, dietician etc that I talk to say that if it works for you then do it. It's more of getting and staying healthy so why deprive yourself of something you will only crave later.
  • Let's decide what to do and start it Monday. since ya'll are doing the GoT, should we start with that type of challenge so that you can get credit in both forums?
  • @RaeBeeBaby have fun shoe shopping! Today I will exercise at work Get all my steps in Log all food Drink and log all water
  • Oh my goodness, it has started already today however, my lunch is packed, my water is prepared and my dog is laying in my office (he has to go to the doctor today so it became bring your pet to work day) don't tell my supervisor. Anyway, today I will eat the foods i brought to work Log the foods I eat Drink my water use…
