I would focus on tracking this in long term to get an accurate picture. Glycogen and water (as you recognise) can play a part. My measurements are different before and after a carb load. Good luck on your journey

Do really really hard session before you go - high volume. First few days do high volume body weight stuff. Go to town on the food and eat everything you can. Barcelona is amazing. Eat up and get big and strong. Enjoy mate

I forced myself for years to eat mushrooms - hated the taste and texture. Over time I have learned to tolerate them. They were always in dishes that were readily available at family meals and it was quicker to eat them than to pick them out :)
