Seriously overstating the calorie content. Fat Free milk has 80-90 calories per 8oz serving, but offers up 8g of protein. Right on about so many people having issues digesting lactose, though. Also, milk has a fairly high carb/sugar count due to the lactose -- which can cause insulin spiking, as well.

I add matcha powder to my protein shakes. It's pairs well with vanilla and does a great job covering up the crappy taste of some brands of whey protein.

Step yourself down -- If you are at 2000 a day, then ease down to 1700 and in a couple months drop to 1400 and then a few months later, go down to 1200. I dropped a little over 110lbs in 6 months doing this while tracking my macronutrients at a 35-40% protein and an even split between carbs and healthy fats. I went from…

I prepare quick oats with a scoop of protein powder, skim milk, peanut butter, and unsweetened cocoa powder. It looks like sludge, but tastes pretty damn good.

I've got both a fitbit charge HR and a Garmin vivofit. Since getting the fitbit, I have not used my garmin at all. Why? The fitbit software is a whole lot better and the syncing is more responsive. The garmin always seemed to have problems syncing and would routinely time out. Also, the fitbit's sleep tracker is much…

Lucy, your protein levels are good. But I'd be wary of the shakes at the gym. We have an Edge fitness near where I live, and the shakes they provide are not the best. They are mostly over 400 calories, have alot of sugar and carbs, and cost 5-6 dollars each. Ugh! Additionally, they only advertise their protein counts for…

Your nutrition can also help. Ingest some high quality protein about the time you are working out. If you like Protein powder, a shake is a really helpful tool for building muscle. At only about 120 calories for about 24g of protein, you can have a shake mixed with water. For 200 calories you can have a shake with 8oz of…
