  • Okay well thanks for the replies anyway. I was going to put in an effort with bw exercises. Push through it but yeah no point. I know this is confusing right now but I'd rather do exercise I love and enjoy than punish myself with something I hate. Es specially if any effect will be minimal. This is supposed to be a…
  • Sorry but my preferred exercise is many forms of cardio. Including cycling, walking and tennis. I actually despise strength training. So if these are not going to help in any way. Then I won't bother anymore.
  • Well then. Thanks for the info. If lifting heavy is the only way to firm up then I'd rather be skinnyfat. :) thanks. Not gonna waste my time any longer.
  • Just firming up. Yeah kind of. But not completely. The guy at the gym gave me a sheet of paper with a few different bodyweight exercises that target each muscle group. With a number of reps and sets for each one. Where I made it my own is basically with the rest between sets and then each day I exercise a different muscle…
  • Hi I don't have a set program. But I got a list of exercises I can do for all the muscles from my gym a long time ago. When I was still attending gym... So I'm just doing all of them. It's not a set program so all it specifies is the amount of reps and sets for each exercise. The reason I'm asking is because I can't…
  • Okay sorry I'll try to state it clearer. (English is my second language) I was asking if doing sets of exercises further apart (like an hour or two between each set), will hinder progress or make a difference than if you were doing all the sets in say an hour's time with only a few seconds rest time. So does it have any…
  • I understand where you're coming from. I'm am being patient though. My problem is not so much that I lower calories, but I got obsessive about every little one. If I was 20 over for the day I would go exercise like crazy to burn it off. That's what made me crazy. I was thinking that that 20 will make me gain weight.
  • It's because I'm a ghost =P stalking mfp Lol.
  • The one of everything thing is a bit complicated but I understand it. A piece of cheese (or other high calorie food)would be about the size of your thumb. So not a palm full. A profiterole...well just eat one. ;) and cheesecake would be one slice. I think the palm thing is more for things that have to be weighed. Okay I…
  • Money for new clothes. Or mixed gourmet chocolates. ;)
  • I mean, not to be rude. But the problem is not my calories. The problem is the fact that I'm hungry. Just keep in mind I'm also exercising so any excess is cushioned. I don't know why some people on here get so worked up or "do not understand" how I know how much I'm eating if I don't weigh everyday. Simple. I weigh…
  • It was an example...but thanks.
  • I do weigh out the oatmeal. And I don't weigh the almonds, I kind of buy 300grams of them and just divide the packet into 6. It evens out over the week. I weigh one banana and use that weight for the rest as their all about the same size in length and width. The caloric difference between them can't really be more than…
  • A few sample menus... Breakfast - 2 large eggs and normal full fat bacon OR oatmeal with almonds and a banana OR cottage cheese with muesli and a fruit sliced on top. Lunch - some form of meat, usually with the fat eaten, and mixed vegetables with cheese melted over or/and with a baked potato with butter. Dinner - usually…
  • I don't think you realise what I'm saying. I DO weigh everything. ONCE. I buy 6 steaks for the week, take the total weight of the 6, and add it to a recipe. Let's say I eat steak with a potato. I then take the 6 potatoes and weigh them all at once. I then add the weight of all the potatoes and add it to the steak in the…
  • I can't lose because I KNOW that I eat up to maintenance or over...how do I know? Because my weight has been stable for 2 months. I can't lose because I get hungry at eat away my deficit. The issue is not that I don't know how much I eat, the issue is that I am hungry even though I know I hit macros. How do I know how much…
  • Hi all I'm sorry I took so long to reply. I know you all recommend that I should log. Keep in mind that I am, just not everyday because I eat the same things. When I create the recipes I log one day as a sample menu to check my macros and stuff that's how I know how much I eat. I'm sure my maintenance is 1670 as I have…
  • I haven't tried that no. When I first started losing I cut out all snacks, because for me that was the cause of the gain. I snacked on lots of sweets ALL THE TIME. Like constantly. I replaced my snacks with drinking water and learned to eat just 3 meals a day. :)
  • I don't log regularly though so my diary won't help. What I'm doing is learning portion control...well trying. I eat the same thing generally for breakfast and dinner. Lunch has around the same calories p/meal often but the ingredients in the meal vary. I cook my food ahead for the week, so what I do is weigh and measure…
  • Sometimes a little more I'm in the red quite a few times. Mostly because I don't care for carbs. Not because they're "bad", I'm just always naturally under on them. I don't eat bread or rice because they don't fill me up so about the only carbs I get are from potatoes, pasta and veg.
  • I eat 85g of protein and 45g of fat a day. On 1470 calories.
  • My rate from 1-10? 0.
  • Well..this is probably just me but I'm a snacker. Like constantly. When I sit down and study or play video games... I constantly want something in my mouth. So I changed the snacks to a bottle of water. I put the bottle next to me when studying and am so preoccupied with it that I don't notice I'm sipping water constantly…
  • I am not following a specific program but I did attend an aerobics gym class for a little while. Basically what I'm doing is taking what I've learned from that, still doing the same things I learned, but increasing reps and adding weight to it. The trainer at that class didn't challenge me enough really because she added…
  • Okay thank you. I didn't lose that much though just about 40lb. I did hang on to it for a LONG time before deciding to lose it though (12 years) so it can be because of that perhaps. I will do the bodyweight exercises. Hopefully it helps a little. I'm still in the process of losing about 15lb before reaching maintenance. :)
  • Not really...toning as in not being so..."fluffy". I've lost a lot of weight and now it's as if my fat is more jiggly. I'm not looking for a 6 pack but more sort of firming up again.
  • Okay. If you were to name a maximum number of reps of bw exercises I should do before adding progression, what would that number be?
  • Watermelon...especially ice cold and super super sweet.
