Your tips to maintaining?
Hello! :) I'm not at maintenance yet, I was just wondering if anyone has any tips/rules/habits that they use to maintain their weight without counting calories? Or do you all still count? And do you plan on counting forever if you do?

What's the point?
I'm currently feeling like this. I'm 5'2 and weigh 60.3kg. I want to get down to 53kg, but I kind of feel like there's no point in it. Mainly because I want my bodyshape to change, but obviously it never will. I'm an apple and store most of my fat in my stomach. While the rest of my body is PERFECT right now, my tummy is…

Recomp question
Does a recomp change your body shape forever or does it eventually go back to the way it was if you start slacking? Let's say for example through recomp and weight loss I achieved a flat belly when I always had a rounded one. Say I now leave the gym and stop exercising, but I DO NOT regain the weight, will I get back the…

A question about bulking and cutting...
Hi. So a question about bulking and cutting. Yes. From the very person who made a post last night that said I won't do it and hate doing heavy lifting. Fun is an issue. Price is an issue. Maintaining consistency is an issue because of price. But aside from that. I am currently skinnyfat. I'm 134lb at 27% bf. Will doing…

How fun is it when...
...you've gotten a good leg workout...and you can't sit down on the toilet...because your butt hurts... And sometimes you even need to ask someone to help you get up from it... :#

Whey Protein?
Hey everyone! Me AGAIN. Sorry about all the questions...:/ I'm wondering if Whey protein acts the same in the body as say, a piece of meat would. Can you really use it to fill up your macro goal? I'm currently supposed to be eating 100g a day, but on most I only reach 60grams eating normal food. And when I'm doing my first…

Two strength training questions...
Okay so 2 questions. When doing a lot of reps for strength training, does it matter if you do the sets close to each other or farther out? For example is it better to do all the sets in an hour with little rest time, or would it hinder progress if you do each set an hour apart? Second, is there anything that can be done to…

The Slimfreezer......
I just saw an advert on television for the Slimfreezer device. Just stick it on your fat and the cold temperature freezes all the fat away...it only costs $150 too! :p Think I should invest??? LAUGH. OUT. LOUD.

How should I change my diet?
Hello... So I would like some advice. I'm starting a bulk and cut cycle in February and probably starting with the bulk part. I know the science behind it, I just don't know the details. I know for a bulk one needs to eat more to be able to gain some weight (of fat and hopefully some muscle), and that it takes long (I'm…

Could this work for me?
Hi everyone! I'm a 5'2, 130lb female. I have lost a good amount of weight before counting calories, but it's made me a bit obsessive. And not in a good way. So I left it for a while and gained some back. Which I would now like to lose again. Byt obviously since calories make me really obsessive, I don't want to go that…

Disappointed
This for some reason doesn't taste as nice as I thought it would...disappointed in you Lindt... :(

How is this possible?
I'm trying to lose the last 15lb. But it seems like everytime I try to keep a deficit...I eat up to maintenance or over. Why? Because I'm super hungry! Not mentally (like cravings and such) but physically. Stomach grumbling, nauseating hunger. Now I maintain at 1670. (I'm sedentary because I sit and study all day, I do eat…

Difference between toning and building?
Is there a difference between toning and muscle building? Can you tone with bodyweight exercises? Or do you HAVE to do heavy lifting for that? :|

New strategy...
Last night I posted how I lost my self control. Today I have an idea. I've become accustomed to MFP and where it once provided the means of control for me, it doesn't do that anymore. In the beginning, I was quite obsessed. I exercised it off even if I was a mere 25 calories over. Somehow, somewhere, that stopped being an…

Has anyone seen my self-control lie around?
I haven't lost any weight in months. I know the cause. The fact that I always eat up to maintenance. Sometimes mindlessly. Sometimes...well, I don't know the reason for the other times. It's not like I eat too little, I eat about 1450 calories a day...at 134lb, 5'2, 21yrs, and I mostly sit in front of my desk all day. My…

300-400 calorie dinner recipes?

A question about muscle loss during deficit...
Hi all...I'd like some help with a question I've been thinking about. So, people always say that if you don't do resistance training while losing weight, you'd lose muscle while losing fat. But, shouldn't our bodies try hard to preserve muscle because it's used to move around, therefore preferring to burn the fat instead?…

Another sugar thread..
I keep on reading of all the people eating little to no sugar because supposedly it's "toxic" or something like that. And then they say in the very next sentence its best to eat all natural food... And then I wonder if they are aware that sugar comes from sugar cane...which grows in the ground... You'd never believe this,…

Does MFP re-adjust calories?
Hi all. I know that as we get older we require less calories to live. (Not a whole lot less but probably enough to make a difference over time) I was wondering if MFP automatically updates your calorie goals as you age (since they asked for your birthday) or if you need to re-adjust it yourself? The reason I'm asking is…

Is carbonated water bad?
I've been having lower back ache a few days. Now, I'm not aware of anything I could've done that could cause it in terms of exercise and such. But lately I've been drinking carbonated water INSTEAD of normal water. My mouth likes the fizzyness. My mom said that it's the carbonated water that's hurting my kidneys. Is there…

3rd day without sweets...
So, I've developed a bad habit (and I'm calling it a habit because that really is all it is) of eating sugary sweets every afternoon and even going out specially to buy them! This is my 3rd day without eating sweets. Just 18 more days to go... (because they say it takes 21 days to break a bad habit). After that I'll add…
