New strategy...

Last night I posted how I lost my self control. Today I have an idea. I've become accustomed to MFP and where it once provided the means of control for me, it doesn't do that anymore.

In the beginning, I was quite obsessed. I exercised it off even if I was a mere 25 calories over. Somehow, somewhere, that stopped being an issue. I don't care anymore that I'm as much as 500 over. Even everyday.

So now, I'm going to stop logging. But I will use a different means of mindfullness. I will eat 3 meals a day. And only 3 meals a day. No snacking. That's a "rule". I'm also aware that you can easily pack a plate full of high calorie stuff. So I will use a 10" plate and fill it, but not pack it. I will allow myself 1-2 sweets a week, over the weekend. The rest of the week it's home cooked meals.

Hopefully this will get my butt in gear.
I'm not asking for help or anything. But the posting of this thread is in a way a "promise" I'm making to myself. I'm writing it so that it can sink in with me. Thanks for reading. :)

I'm hoping this works for you, but it would never work for me haha. I'm obsessed with accuracy and I hate doing guesswork. In my mind it's really not that hard at all to be accurate, so why not be? Anyway, good luck with your new strategy.

It is good to try new things. I hope this works for you.
  • I think the issue is that the number became just that to me. A number. That I don't care for. It just isn't controlling me anymore. Which is sad. It worked really well in helping me shed 40+ pounds. Now with the last 12lb, it's just meh.
