THis right here. Then they might say, did you get your hair cut? i.e, you look different.

I would look here and get your form down http://exrx.net/Exercise.html, best ref I know. Then have someone video you so you can see if you are tracking properly in the knees, have flat back, ... http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/BBSquat.html

It depends what you want to do, cardio right after weights will reduce your size and power gains, cardio before will also do this. Cardio after weight will optimize your weight loss, but it is a minor effect. From what I hear, cardio before weights will improve your heart efficiency. I tend to lift and do cardio on…

I eat simple most days, make dinner and use leftovers. It helps a lot for food planning. For workout time, find a workout/hobbie that you love, rock climbing, cycling,... I do MMA and that keeps me busy often, but I force the time.

I know there are a small subset of people who can't eat gluten, my concern is when people equate gluten to bad for you, or meat to bad for you or anything which is healthy for the majority of people as bad for you. Most people who don't eat gluten are allergic to knowing there is gluten in things, not actually having…

You had me til this, if you are not allergic to gluten (about 1% of the population) gluten isn't a problem. It can be good for many people...

Wrestling yeah, rasselling maybe not

I typically assume 500 per slice of plain, pep, say 600.
-
great start, keep up the hard work, and don't get disappointed if that rate doesn't continue.

I, sadly, wish there was a good piece of advice, at least I haven't found it. I assume 300cal/pint, so I often get the sampler/taster/whatever which can be like 12 oz total and it lets me try many different one. Hard when I live in a great beer city..

I get this on the elliptical often. Every 10 minutes get off and do 30 seconds of jumping jacks or burpies or anything to change your position and give your feet more variance.

While all studies are not correct, they should contain enough data to reproduce the results. It is part of the scientific process. Often a study will conclude that there is a 99% chance something is true. You do 100 studies one of these is bound to be luck. While science has its problems, and I review my share of papers,…

I think this is the OP's point.. Right, to help with this (whoops, just noticed you were the OP ;) )
-
Sadly that's true. There is an interesting book, you are now less dumb, it is pretty light weight but it talks about how evidence to the contrary of what you believe only makes you believe your point more. Kinda describes US politics.

This is important. Sadly few people actually have access to journals for free (to them), I do where I work. Often people don't understand what they read and the media makes leaps in the summary of the article. Furthermore, many people, scientists included, don't understand p values and what they really mean. One of the…

If you sit at a desk all day, have a big glass next to you and you will drink more. But, in all honesty, there is no studies saying 8 glasses a day, http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/25/upshot/no-you-do-not-have-to-drink-8-glasses-of-water-a-day.html That being said, I drink about a gallon a day to keep me from bored eating…

The YMCA often has great prices, equipment and classes and it is an org which does community service as a bonus.

Home made breakfast burrito, same thing (pretty much) I have every day, about 500 cals.

I do kick-boxing (real not pretend) and full MMA. Where you from? Find a local gym and try it out for a couple weeks. Awesome workout, once you've done 5 5 minute rounds you will understand how much you can burn in 30 minutes

Only targeted weight loss comes with suction and stitches. Typically men hold onto fat on their belly and women on their thighs. YMMV though. It will come off if you keep up the loss.
-
Actually that isn't hard, but it won't be fat and it wont make you look much different. http://breakingmuscle.com/mma/how-to-cut-weight-the-right-way

This. You will be more full with the Kashi

Take measurements beyond the scale... Tape measure is your friend. If you want smaller belly, hips measure them and track on the site. BTW, A pound of muscle is 600 cals, fat 3900, you can be about 3000 cals in the hole and still gain a bit of weight, but typically you don't do that.

I'd eat like 1/2 of them back if you are hungry, after a strength/hiit workout I try to eat 1/2 back in carbs/protein (milk/whey mix). So if I guess I burn 500, 12 oz milk with a scoop of PP which is like 250 within a short time period. The bigger question is why did you gain the weight back? Did you change life style…

At 5.3/138 you are not obese by any stretch of the imagination, I would ease into this, I'd log what you are doing and try eating about 1/2 your cals back and see if you start to lose weight, you are close enough where 1lb/week is as fast as you should go, and probably 1/2 a lb/week.
