If I am going to eat meat, I am paying the extra to eat natural . It helps me to know these animals are treated humanely. I live in a small NE area and can fortunately eat locally. NEVER nitrites. Once I saw a slaughter house in Colorado and the site made me weep. Try hard to know your source was treated with dignity.

Read about low carb, high fat and consider this as your entry to surgery. It is possible that you won't need surgery. I think learning how to control your food issues may be , in the long run, healthier than surgery. Just saying. There is a huge amount of information on this site if you want it.

I think Atkins recommended 3 days. After that return to your <20 or whatever . Maybe next month, try it again. You are basically injesting all fat.

Thanks everyone. I realize portions are sometimes off, but in fact I am often under 1500 and NEVER count my exercise calories. I do use Stevia in tea, maybe 2 packs a day.
