Yes, in fact it was something I learned of from this forum about a year back. The book was first, I liked his philosophy in general so I paid the 3 bucks or whatever it was for the app which I procrastinated using until I injured myself and had to take a break from the intensive cardio I was doing. The guided programs have…

If you are not doing this already, be sure to vary your muscle groups and not work the same muscles every day. Recovery is super important for you to get the true benefits of the workouts. If you are already doing that, then like some of the others said, protein soon after helps. Staying hydrated helps too.

My daughter works out Max 30 five times a week to a sweat fest, and washes twice a week but uses dry shampoo on the last two days before washing so like twice a week for that too. She is going to cosmetology school and said that washing it every day can be damaging, yes. So the general idea is if you work out daily, the…

Hi, I have been using this program from the beginning, almost two years now. I love it. LOVE. The longest I have gone without using Max 30 is 4 days and I blamed that on New Orleans but it was my fault, lol. Friday Fight 2 was today and is my favorite, followed by Max Out Sweat. Stay with it all the way through, you…

It is beyond okay.

How about break dancing? You add nothing but a cardboard box, and a ghetto blaster. Old School.

Go for the hard workout and train good and intense but not to injury. That way when you get to your well deserved consumption and indulgence at the 5 star you can kick back and truly enjoy it:) Don't forget about the hot tub too!
-
It can depend on where you live. If you are in a suburban area you can go exploring for buildings that have decent flights of stairs. Of course you will still have to get down to start over and have that break but the decline can too be training if you let it. If there are mountains or hills nearby try using a good steep…

That's an excellent workout list!

All metal, punk, old school rap, techno, rave, industrial, most music with good fast beat.
-
Yes. If I feel like running there is nothing that will stop me.
-
What a great feeling first day back after an injury! Bring on the soreness and that post workout feeling of accomplishment!
-
OP how is it going ? Did you finish month 2? Keep at it, almost wedding time. Max 30 is my favorite and staple.
-
Do all the stuff necessary to get ready for work that includes seeing how close I can get to missing the train without actually missing it; that helps turn the cardio buzz into an adrenaline rush.

Congratulations on your weight loss! And I am sorry about your back. As I have had my share of injuries, what I have learned is it usually ends up being cardio they suffers the most and is lost more quickly than strength. Usually a week of not doing cardio I can tell the difference but a week for strength training there is…

Pull-up/Burpee/Plyo push-up/power jump combo is probably my favorite. I like boulder push-ups and barefoot sprinting a lot too.
-
There are two things you can try. If you are doing push-ups, try putting more of your body weight on your shoulders by moving your feet closer to your hands, push your hips straight up and keep your back and legs as straight as possible. It would look like downward dog position. Do some of your push-up sets like that. The…

Good luck with the 3Km swim? That is hardcore!

It depends on how much earlier than my daughter I wake up. We go to the gym together and hit the treadmill hard. If I wake up late, then I have nothing but coffee with dark chocolate. If I wake up early as usual at least an hour before her, then I will eat something preferably high carb which also depends on other things…

Good point OP. For me, it depends on the city and neighborhood that I am walking. Walking down the street minding my own business and then somebody has to go and put a pizza joint right there in front of me and I can see the dough being thrown up and down from outside looking in the window. What am I gonna do? Or the aroma…

Less than 1% if even that. Gym membership is free with my health insurance plan and my employer pays most of that. The only supplement I ever purchase is whey protein and that is 20 bucks a month and I use that for breakfast so I got to eat anyway. I may be even saving money because I could be buying more expensive…

Negatives are better than the assisted machine for a number if reasons one being your core is more likely to be engaged which will come in handy later to prevent you from swinging. If you are already doing 5 with a 5 second decent and have a 90 second dead hang you are well on your way to your first successful pull up. As…

Intense cardio and strength five to six days a week with the other two days being just strength, yoga, and walking

Keep track of your progress to start with. Design your own program that you know you will keep. You can integrate it into your crossfit. Before my injury I was doing one long distance run, one 5k, and one sprint series. I got my time down to 22:20 from 32 with that method but it took nearly a year. The key really is to…

What I did was give the adequate time to heal and then run, heal run heal run until my intervals were close enough to no longer get them. I also switched shoes and included barefoot sprints twice a week.

Industrial Metal, techno rave dance electronic, old school rap, hardcore, death, thrash, punk.

Very cool! I hope that you do get to compete! My goals are not there yet but not a bad idea to at least move towards that.
-
Excellent work! Thank you for posting. I hope others will see that this number can be achieved through consistent hard work. Keep at it!

I am sorry that happened. That was one day though. An interesting thing to look at is whether he continues to go to that gym or if someone else reports other behavior and he ends up getting kicked out or knocked out for doing something like that to someone else. The question now is how will he behave when he sees you…

Try both drawing your core back towards your spine and flexing it outward gentle at first gradually building intensity as you get used to it. Look into Kundalini Yoga and also Vinyasa methods of breathing for variety. There are many many different ways to do it. Be sure to find what works for you long term.
