I'm a mom of 5, I was losing weight and on a great track this year, from the year before, until Feb 5th when I found out my infertility subsided and I found out I was pregnant!(I had a procedure in 2012 after my 2nd son that made me infertile, and needed special meds to have my 3rd and was told there was no way I would get…

My problem was drinking almost my weight in soda, and eating only once a day. I haven't cut out soda completely because when I try I just say F it to my progress and goals. So I drink some but I've upped my water intake by a lot. I drink about 5 16.9oz bottles a day at the least, which doesn't sound like much, but I was…

SW:228 CW:206 GW:160 Height: 5'7 I'm a little broad shouldered, so I may stop at 170. I refuse to get too thin, I lost a lot of weight once, and got too thin way too fast and I looked really sick. My goal is to be fit, and healthy. I still have 46lbs to go before I reach my "goal", but if I find that I'm happy with my…

For the record, 1200 calories isn't for everyone. Adjust your calories to you. Not based on everyone else. Some people are fine with 1200, others not so much.

Okay, not being judgemental but that was quite difficult to read. Also, the goal to losing weight is leaving a deficit. So, you either work out to help leave the deficit, or try to stay a few calories under the 1200. Also, since you work out, be sure to eat back some of your exercise calories! Your body needs the fuel.…

Smoothies are good for you if they contain the right ingredients. There's lots of smoothie recipes online that can help as a meal replacement that will keep you fuller ,longer. Try chia seeds in your smoothie, along with the fruit, and almond milk. Greek yogurt is good for you too, like all things, its okay in moderation.…

Also, some people that really want to do the 1200 calories just tough out the hunger pains until their body adjusts. It takes a few weeks.

1200 calories isn't for everyone. Try to adjust your calories a little or save some extra calories to eat a bigger dinner to help hold you over? Good luck!

I lost exactly what I gained with each baby, this is my third, and the only one to BF for more than 9 days. We've been breastfeeding 9 months. I've lost 14lbs from the day I left the hospital, until last week, and I then decided to restart MFP. 300 calories is what it takes to keep supply up, but if you want to work out,…

This. Today is the first day I've actually ran, I'm a really fast walker/slow jogger every other day. But I ran today, and it was brutal, worth it, but brutal. But damnit I ran without passing out so I'm happy! Also, hopefully this exercise that I've neglected, as well as counting calories which I never did before because…

Not giving a damn made me fat. But I didn't care because 1) I was told to diet at the age of 8 and then was only allowed certain stuff, diet soda, etc., and 2) when I got older, I was miserable so I ate. 9 years later, and 3 kids, and still being young, I care. And damnit if it kills me to lose this weight at least I'll be…

I have 7 people here, and we comment on one anothers feeds, and help keep each other motivated. We also post inspirational quotes that help ourselves and each other. We don't have friends because we need them to achieve our goals, we have friends because it makes our seperate journies a little bit easier on our minds to be…

I would set a smaller goal. Because if you don't reach it, it could be discouraging and you don't want to get discouraged from living a healthy lifestyle. either way, good luck!

If you're going out running, and not using a treadmill, you could use Map My Ride, it tells you how far you bicycle, run, or walk.

I did a slightly harder workout on my treadmill this morning. Baby steps! Also, I still feel like I could go another round on it and probably will after some vigorous house cleaning and furniture moving! (Still setting up new house) this move has been awesome, its a big step for my family, and I've started calorie counting…

I usually choose not to have it. It's easier if its a choice and not a "rule" IMO. But if I choose to divulge, I work out extra to make up for it. For instance, I ate a goody cake yesterday, so I got back on the treadmill and sweated my butt off to make up for it. I'd rather it be a choice than a rule though.

Haha yesterday I played my kids favorite songs while I worked out over the speaker on the treadmill. They danced while I worked out and it was fun for everyone and entertained my 9mo old while in his walker because he LOVES music lol its a win-win. I also use my 9 mo old as a weight for squats. Hes ebf so he wants to be…

I have a 5, 3, and 9 month old. They don't notice the calorie counting because I keep it to myself and on MFP and I portion control which they haven't picked up on, but they love watching me on the treadmill and have asked why I exercise and I just tell them to be healthy, I don't mention that I need to lose 50lbs lol. But…

My LO is 9 months and my supply hasn't dropped since starting exercising, but you could take Fenugreek, it'll boost your supply, and it helps lower blood sugar some, as well as a few other health benefits. Also, nurse on demand or pump between to keep supply up. Its supply and demand, the more baby demands, the more you'll…

If my treadmill wasn't in my living room, I probably wouldn't be as motivated as I am lately, I feel like its taunting me. Also, if it didn't have a port to connect to my phone, and a fan built into it, it probably wouldn't be as fun when I work out and would kill my motivation some.
-
Me too! And its a plus that it was like a game to him! He laughed the whole time, which is motivating to see him laugh and smile while I work towards my goal. A happy baby is a happy mommy, and a happy mommy is a happy home! Lol

Hi JoAnn, I'm Haley and I also got MFP a while ago but have not been very consistent. I'm a sahm to three boys. I'm determined to stay motivated this time and beings there is a treadmill in my living room I have no reason to not use it. But motivation is hard sometimes! I have 50lbs to lose to reach my goal. I'm starting…

Hi, I'm Haley. I'm a SAHM to three boys, 5, 3, and 9months (ebf). I've had MFP for a while but I keep falling off the bandwagon due to lack of motivation. I'm the smallest now that I've been since well before having my first son, but I'm still overweight by far. I'm aiming to lose 50lbs but need a little motivation and…
