Also - just an idea to throw out there. Exercises in water. Not sure of what's in/around your location, but its another option to get you moving around - with less pain. Ask your doc for recommendations on whether pool exercises is a good idea

I find it simpler to log for the 24hours and just count my calories as if I was a normal day shifter. I tried doing it according to my sleep schedule...but sometimes I work 16 hour shifts and sleep only 5 hours - so it got too tricky.

Some people split hams/glutes and quads into different days - 2 leg days is better than one! But yea I find chest/tri back/bi to be better because its a push/pull split

Thank you thank you. I should specify that yes I'm only able to get to the gym three days a week- but that's for heavier weight. I do body weight exercises on my overnight shifts at work with a rest day once a week - which I end up riding my horse, so it's like a second leg day. I've had a lot of progress with the 3 day…

15 minute warm up on the stair master before every lift session. Level 8 or higher.

I gotcha:) some people do it on back and others on leg day, and others twice a week like irishman213. Ill have to test it out and see what works best
-
Just had to throw it out there just in case- it sounded familiar to me from nursing school :)
-
I do chest/tri, back/bi, legs/shoulders for my split - it's pretty generic I thought
-
Twice a week! Now that's dedication

I tried everything except prescriptions. from the patch, gum, lozenges - nothing distracted me from wanting the real thing....until I got a Vape. So, I'm technically still "smoking", but it's actually vaping a flavor at 0mg of nicotene

If all of the above suggestions do not work, it could possibly be a circulation issue - it's a longshot since you're young and in shape, but it sounds similar to Peripheral Arterial Disease/Claudication. Next time you get a physical done, mention the pain to your Dr. and see what he comes up with.
