Do what you are able - I do fasted cardio/lifting sometimes, supposedly it burns more fat. Just make sure your sugar levels don't bottom out on you, that happens to some.

Let me rephrase - i lift.

I use it and love it - never really looked at the back of it for protein level though. I just love the taste of vanilla almond milk and use it to make my overnight oats, for baking, mix with my shakes (rarely)

You can hold the bar however you want - typically there are lines on the bar, that's where I put my middle finger, and my hands are definitely not right on top of my shoulders or else I would break my wrist - widen your grip for comfort, keep the bar on your traps and not your neck, and you should be good to go Edit: I use…

I drink a lot of water to keep my mouth occupied...and I post on here to keep my hands occupied once I finish all my work - which I typically finish in the first 8 hours here. Pre-planning is my key. After all - my mother always told me, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"

Im an RN working 16hr shifts. Best thing to keep me on track is prepping my meals and pre-logging them - so I know what Ill be eating throughout my 16 hours. I usually dont eat once I get home because my bed is much more tempting than food at that point

You have to advocate for yourself and push for answers with these doctors. Seems like you've tried every drink in the book, excluding soda and booze - which arent good options. You know your body best, and if you feel that something is wrong internally, then the doctors need to use what they have to figure this out. We…

Simple answer: Shakes aren't for losing weight - they are for gaining muscle.
-
Yes yes yes. HIIT is very successful
-
Sounds like you might want to talk to your surgeon about this

I started here - logging and realizing how awful I ate every day. Then I researched Macronutrients and built my grocery list. I stopped buying crap food, and stuck with my macro list. A couple months later - I decided to encorporate a weight lifting routine with my best friend, who lives in another state - so I did not…

So it's the surgery that's effecting your fluid intake? Or have you been this way your entire life?
-
Is there a Doctor in the house? Cuz thats what you need ;)
-
Agreed. Hit the gym - heavy weight
-
Instead of looking at the food part - why not change the exercise. Your body has probably gotten used to 2-4+ miles of walking 6 days a week, so it's time to change it up

I googled him just to make sure my sarcasm actually had some truth to it

Don't you have a board of nursing at your school? Or speak to the department head. I didn't have an experience like this - nor have any of my other BSN grads - but this is just appalling

A PhD in nutrition is a possibility - the sky is the limit ;)

I am also 5'3" - and personally a 30lb weight loss is an unrealistic goal (personal opinion - I did no math for BMI whatsoever with this opinion). I would say 15lbs is realistic - but if you want to get "toned" it would be hard to maintain 115lbs because muscle simply weighs more than fat. Suggestion: Research…

Well it certainly makes you lose weight in your wallet...
-
That ^. Especially the lifting weight & building muscle part

I'm training like an NPC bikini competitor...don't plan on competing but would glady help motivate :)

ISO motivators! I eat clean (most days of the week), meal prep, lift 3 days a week, HIIT sessions 2 days a week, because I hate cardio :\ and I'm looking to lean out

Apparently StrongLifts has worked for many people on here. But I also only get to go to the gym 3 days a week - and I take full advantage of the weights and skip the treadmill/elliptical/cardio machines entirely. Day 1 - Chest/tri, Day 2 - Legs, Day 3 - back/bi. I mix shoulders in with my leg and back days. If you still…
-
Yes, lets do leg day

And yes - you should probably increase you calories - and balance your macros differently
