Whenever, I'm feeling like I have weak willpower, I remind myself what I'm fighting for... And I say it, out loud, over and over and over to myself until I work thru my weakness. I'm fighting for time with my kids. I had a heart attack this year. I'm only 44 and my kids are still in elementary school. I'm fighting to be…

I'm 100+ to lose.

Agreed. Plus, the abject objectification from men can damage a person's soul. You're just a "thing" and not a person to them. That is hard on your soul. But the money is good and that makes it heard to quit... and this is where drug use tends to come into play. Sure, there are a handful of success stories where a girl did…

I am so very sorry. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

It's all about perspective. I used to think it was humiliating to go to a regular gym at my size. Then I had a heart attack... and had to reevaluate what is embarrassing/humiliating. Now I have to walk into cardiac rehab as the youngest person there by 25 to 35 YEARS. Just me and the 75 year old grandparents working out. I…

So awesome!!!! Good for you!

"You're too young to be here." These are the words said to me by the doctor who put 2 stents in my chest after having a heart attack at age 44.

Awesome! Keep it up!!

I'm Toni... Congrats on 100 Days!!

It has never crossed my mind to question what others are using as their profile pic. I'm too focused on myself and my goals to care . Some may use a old photo or even a photo of their favorite fitness trainer as a form of motivation. To each his/her own. Whatever gets you going!!

I did not grow up overweight. Throughout all of my teens and twenties, I wore itty bitty thong bikinis. Then I turned 30.... I started to gain weight in my very early 30s. I had a high stress job working in television news. I worked a lot of overnights and "floating" shifts. Then I had my daughter. That was 70lbs. I lost…

These are awesome! I was excited when a pair of pants that I couldn't button last year, I can now pull them up and down while still buttoned and zipped.

Awesome!! I hope to get there eventually!

You can go into your settings and change it so that it doesn't add the calories back.

It was for me too... Until I had a heart attack two months ago at the age off 44. No more out of sight/out of mind for me.

An A1C in the 5s is great. That's what I am driving for.. I go back to Doctor next month to find out where I am. Do you know if your number was that low before taking the high doses of metformin? Or is it that low BECAUSE of the metformin? I think if you are on metformin, there is likely a problem and you should be…

I was officially diagnosed about 2 months ago. I had carried an A1C of 6.1 for a long time. I reduced it to 5.7 on my own just with some dietary changes. But when my mom got really sick and subsequently died this past January, it was a stressful time for me and. I ate.... a lot! I gained 24 pounds in 6 months and my A1C…

I decided I need more accountability so I opened mine to friends today.

I figure that if I don't have my eating under control, the surgery will never "stick" long term anyway. So if I can learn to control my eating and exercising habits, the weight will come off naturally... no surgery needed. I, obviously, have not been able to accomplish this task. It's a lack of control and lack of…

Yes. I'm 44 and had a heart attack less than 2 months ago.

I'm hoping to get below 300 by Memorial weekend. I have 22lbs to go.

I spent a years being too humiliated to even walk into a regular gym. Now, at just 44 years old, I have to walk into cardiac rehab and exercise with with people my parents and grandparents age. It's a whole different kind of humiliating... Not so much fat judgement because everyone is very nice, but I get shocked looks…

45 minutes of cardiac rehab

I would love to! Just waiting on approval! Thank You!

Thank you! Funny, I used to think it was humiliating walking into a gym at my weight/size. But it's even more humiliating walking into cardiac rehab as the youngest person by 25-30 years. It's usually me and all the 70 year olds working out.

I am 44 and am recovering from a heart attack. I also have 100+ to lose and would love some friends to go on this journey with me.

I'm a 44 year old mom of 2 from Georgia who needs to lose nearly 200lbs. I'm down 27 Lbs since beginning of Feb. It's the first time I have moved the scale in the right direction in quite a long time. I would love to have some friends to share this journey with.
