This thread just inspired me to make mine public. I just realized how often I'll see that someone came in under their calories and I am curious about any meals they have regularly or whether they allow themselves treats regularly, or find it best to stay away from trigger food, etc. There also may be a food that I…

I'm in!

I love it. It's adorable. Your plant will die though! Keep hydrated! haha

Exactly the same here. As soon as I got out of the mindset that eating healthily meant having to eat a bunch of foods that I don't normally eat and give up ones I do, I was so much better off. I eat whatever I want to, just within my calorie limit. And the thing is... knowing that I can have whatever I want to actually…

I came in a few hundred calories under for the third day in a row (still making sure to get at least 1200 though).

Came in way under calories today. Feeling good.

Today was good, for me. I came in under my calorie goal. Also, for the first time since I've started using MFP my "If you eat like you did today you'd weigh X in 5 weeks," was in the 250s!

Once again, short walk (probably only 2.5 miles round-trip), but I chose to walk to an appointment again today, rather than take the metro.

Hi Jenni, I'm Sara! I'm only on day 21 (this time), but I'm really hoping I stick to it this time! Having a community helps!

I use an app on my phone, just to remind me to drink. I don't dislike water, and I don't drink anything else, other than the occasional glass of juice or milk. But I forget a lot, so I use the Plant Nanny app (you water a cute animated plant every time you drink and it eventually grows). I've also used the Hydro Coach app,…

Went over by about 160 calories, but I was under by an unhealthy amount yesterday, so I'm trying not to get hung up on it.

I'm very happy this week! My goal was not to gain, since I know I had an iffy week of eating. I managed to lose 1.4 pounds, though! 2.5 pounds to my next mini goal! Starting weight: 304 Last week: 273.8 Current weight: 272.4, loss of 1.4 lb. First measurements were taken this week. Underbust: 47.6" Waist: 46.8" Belly (my…

Super happy today! I made a dinner that seemed like it would be a HUGE no-no, so I ate very little throughout the day, to stock up on calories. Only to find out that my dinner was only about 150 calories (300 with veggies). Important Reminder: If you ever make a recipe with a breading or batter or anything where you don't…

This is why I only weigh myself once/week. For me, the normal fluctuations that happen within a day would drive me mad. Water retention, sodium levels... I also tend to weigh myself after I urinate in the morning, not really on purpose, but that does end up making a huge difference. So much fluid gets processed during the…

Depending on how sensitive you are, you may be able to make yogurt with regular milk. The bacteria in the yogurt help digestion and (I think) the stomach lining so the lactose doesn't cause problems as often. Many lactose intolerant people can handle yogurt even if they can't handle milk. Full fat is still better... Cheese…

I haven't done it for a while, and I wasn't on LC when I did, but I will say I loved it. It's HARD, but I felt amazing and so proud of myself after each workout. I sprained my ankle about 1.5 weeks into doing it (every other day) though and never got back on the workout train afterward. It's probably what I'll go back to…

I did alright today, coming in under my goal. My carbs have been higher than I would like though. I try to stay at 20% calories from carbs, but that hasn't been happening the last few days since I've had some ice cream both days. I'm pushing my boyfriend to finish the B&J pint we bought yesterday so I don't have any more.…

Here and happy with my day!

I had to buy new jeans, one size down, last week! I was also very proud of myself for choosing to walk a few places this week instead of taking the metro. They were short 2-3 miles round-trip, but a month ago I never would have chosen walking! Oh! I also finally got over my fear (of finding out how bad my PCOS might be)…

Again, today I chose to walk to an appointment, rather than ride the metro. It wasn't that far, only about one mile each way. But I'm still proud that I chose to walk!

My go-to breakfasts: A slice of whole grain toast with either 1/4 of an avocado, smashed (no butter), some salt, cayenne pepper, and dried roasted garlic bits. OR A slice of whole grain toast with around 25 grams of Camembert cheese (and usually 1 tsp or so of butter because I hate dry toast. On days that I still feel…

I do keep a lot of fruits in the house (I've started eating fruit after dinner, where before I would have eaten a candy bar or potato chips or some other junk food.) My favorite daytime munchies are pickles and fruit. When I get these insomnia munchies though it's nit just that I want to eat... It's that I want to eat a…

Hey there! I just sent you a friend request. I was diagnosed with PCOS one year ago (and finally got an ultrasound today, to confirm it). I'm still struggling to lose weight, despite medications that should help (Metformin). I've noticed all of the PCOS groups on MFP are pretty inactive, so I'd love more friend to talk to…

I'm in! (I'd be happy with 10, but 15 would be great and still doable.) Height: 5'11" Starting Weight: 273.8 (April 3) Goal: 259 Non-weight goal: Have 12 oz. or less of soda by May 30th. Will check in on Sundays!

I eat out of boredom and when I feel stressed, anxious, or depressed. I also am not good at eating things I like in moderation, or cooking in moderation for that matter. I grew up learning to cook from my grandma, who made every meal for no less than 8 people, even if only 3-4 were eating. Leftovers are fine in my book...…

I recently had to go buy new jeans; I've gone down a size!
