  • Eh Maybe not then. I work full-time and go to school full-time so I'm not home from 6am to 10:30pm. I usually do my workouts in the morning or during the 2 hours I have between works and class.
  • Thank you. Yea I will definitely keep an eye on my food and be more strict. But what you said about the weight training makes sense. I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait this out then :/
  • So far I've lost 16lbs. I was doing fine without the weight training and only cardio. But once I added weights in the scale didn't move at all. I honestly didn't really think twice about my calories only because I was weighing what I ate most of the time, which now sounds like that's what's causing the delay. But thank you…
  • I do use a food scale fro the most part. Sometimes I'm in a rush and forget to weigh some things, so everything may not be accurate. Also I use the fitbit HR for my exercises to make sure I can get a good idea as to how many calories I'm burning.
  • ^^^^ got the right idea!

  • You look amazing! Thank you for being an inspiration. I hope that i can gain the self love you have for yourself during my weight loss journey. :)
  • Well both :)
  • This is really helpful thank you so much!! I really had no idea how to go about training for this type of distance :)
  • I will definitely keep up with this then!
  • That's what I'm afraid of! I don't want to just lose weight, I want to be fit and healthy!
  • Got ya. Good to know then!
  • Like say you only eat 1200 calories a day, but you burn about 400-500 calories a day as well. Your body is only getting 800- 900 calories then, that's assuming if you aren't eating back your calories. Even if you do 1200 is still really low. If you are more sedentary then that amount is fine. If you eat too little then…
  • Wow 1800? well I'm 22yo if that helps. I didn't realize I was on the low side. I used to eat only 1200 but figured out really quick that amount of calories was way too low so I upped it to 1500. But if I need to go up more to keep my body working properly with exercise I will definitely do that. I don't want to damage my…
  • http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/macro-math-3-keys-to-dialing-in-your-macro-ratios.html I usually read a bunch of different articles and compare them all to get a feel for what is realistic and what is not. I'm not quite sure how credible this is but it definitely is do-able and has helped shed some weight without feeling…
  • Will do! Thanks for the resources :)
  • Okay I'll have to give those a shot then! I always wanted to try crossfit or something like that but to be honest it looks very intimidating.
  • Do you usually exercise? Sodium can definitely make you bloat but your exercise routine could also be a factor. Sometimes you can hit a plateau ( I did when I lost my first 10 lbs) so I just had to switch out my workout routine a little and then I lost 10 more :) I'm still on my journey myself so I'm not sure how much of a…
  • So how many days should I weight train and for how long? Would 1500 calories even be enough to fuel my body then? I pay attention to my macros more than my calories and make sure I don't go over my ratios with carbs, fats and proteins.
  • I already lift a couple of times a week for that exact reason. I really don't want to lose whatever muscle I have already. That would really suck. I just wasn't sure when would be a good time to slowly incorporate a surplus in my calories. I want the muscle but I also don't want to eat too many calories and gain back the…
  • I like to run but sometimes its hard to run a farther distance each week. I have a specific playlist for when I run and I also signed up for a 15k with my boyfriend. He helps me stay on track with training and I get an awesome medal at the end of the 15k. That's enough motivation for me :)
  • I can run a 5k without being completely breathless and sore. Also upped my time from 40 minutes to 30 minutes . Just signed up for my first 15k in November and feeling pretty confident when normally the idea of running 9 miles would make me nervous!
  • I'm currently eating 1,200 calories. I read online that if I go any lower it would harm my body rather than do good. Usually I burn between 400-600 calories per session. the 600 calories are from my zumba classes. I also use a fitbit flex wrist band to help keep and accurate count of how many calories I'm burning daily.
  • It is a little awkward but I got horrible shin splints when i did a 6.5 mph jog on the treadmill a month ago. Maybe i didn't stretch properly after the run but I've been a little nervous to go faster. I don't have this problem when I run on trails though.
  • I started zumba at my gym over a year ago and it's true I felt completely ridiculous! Like I was recklessly flailing my arms around and tripping over my own feet. But at the same time now that I have all of the routines down I feel untouchable when I kill it in class. Definitely ups the confidence :) There are zumba videos…
  • I think I've realized that it isn't always about the number on the scale, as long as I am feeling great and making progress it shouldn't really matter.Today I was able to wear my size 6 jeans that I haven't been able to fit into for 3 years now. I'll probably just stick to clothing sizes and put less emphasis on the…
  • Thanks for easing my mind :) from reading these posts I should probably just focus more on how clothes fit rather then numbers on a scale. I also just bought a fit bit a few days ago so hopefully this will keep everything in perspective for me when I'm having a rough day. Thanks so much for the support!
