Oatmeal + strawberries + drizzle of almond butter Oatmeal + berries + ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate chips + sliced almonds/walnuts/pecans Wholegrain toaster waffles + nut butter + fruit (ex. PB & bananas, almond butter & strawberries, nutella & blueberries) English muffin or toast + 2 egg tamagoyaki (like an omelet…

For cooked foods, make sure you're letting everything cool to room temperature before bagging up and sticking it in the fridge. Putting warm food in a steamy container in the fridge or freezer is a recipe for spoilage. For raw foods, you could try storing them in water. I know pre-cut celery, carrots, and cucumbers can be…

5'5" and at my lowest I was 135 (super fit, but little to no muscle mass), my highest was/is 160, and the weight I was for most of my adult life was 140-145. My goal weight is currently 140-145 since I'm working on building way more muscle than I've ever had in my life. I might go lower once I get there, but we'll see.

The following links might be useful references: Synthetic substances allowed for use in organic crop production Nonsynthetic substances prohibited for use in organic crop production It's important to note that just like conventional farming, not all organic-compatible pesticides are allowed in every situation. Many will…

Calrose rice is not glutinous rice, which is why it works in sushi (sushi doesn't use glutinous rice as it wouldn't be firm enough). Glutinous/sweet rice is quite differently textured and much wetter, and it's usually used to make sweets or dumplings of various sorts.

Not sure what you mean by "healthy", but my go-to lower-calorie fast food option is two Morningstar veggie corndogs with 1.5 servings of store-brand tater tots. Ends up being about 500 cals for a pretty generous portion.

IME 1/4 c cooked botan calrose rice is about 150g, not 45g so I don't think it's a cooked vs uncooked situation. I think they've gotten their math wrong on the 1/4 cup = 110 calories label. The first label says 1/4 cup has 35g carbs and 3g protein, both of which come in at about 4 calories per gram. So: (35+3)*4 = 152…

You know plain egg whites? Kind of like that. If you've ever had edamame, it tastes like that but less "green". It doesn't have a very strong flavor, which is why it's usually prepared with strong-tasting ingredients/sauces. Texture-wise it varies greatly depending on the type and firmness. There are two main types: silken…

Soups: Miso soup - dashi stock base, add mushrooms and green onion, works best with silken tofu, for a vegan/vegetarian version use the soaking water from dried shiitake plus kombu instead of traditional dashi Kenchin jiru - dashi stock base, add any root vegetables you want plus silken tofu, I usually make it with…

There's plenty. Just search for: Kpop, Zumba, Jazzercise...plus all kinds of classical and modern dance.

Based on the pic, that's a millipede not a centipede. A minor difference but you can see that the legs are grouped in two's rather than singly. Fun buddies nonetheless :)

Honestly I think the simple carbs make all the difference. I've done exactly the same as you before (substituting healthier sides with a rich main dish) and it just doesn't do the same thing. I think loading up on simple carbs (like from a milkshake and fries) gives me that large spike in blood sugar that lets my hunger go…

This might be a helpful thread to read:https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10673925/buttomless-pit-days/p1 And there are many others discussing hormonal hunger and how to deal with it. Personally I find indulging in one high-calorie meal when I start feeling ravenous helps stave off the rest of the cravings,…

I've used both Depo (3 years) and am now on my second year of Nexplanon and Depo. Hormonal contraceptives can cause changes in appetite. For me personally, it was way worse with Depo. YMMV, but I don't really get the same "period hunger" on Nexplanon and it's been a blessing, most likely since Nexplanon is a lower dose…

My top go-to, satisfying meals are: herbed salmon with lemon butter, peas, and rice homemade chicken soup with rice cakes and leafy greens morningstar corndogs and tater tots (if I'm craving fast food) turkey italian sausage, kale, garlic, and pasta

Throw them in a soup, mix them with pesto and eat with pasta, make a curry with them, make a veggie quesadilla...the possibilities are endless. Also mix some into scrambled eggs/omelet, make a frittata or quiche, pot pie, or just eat them plain with a little seasoning of choice.

I love these : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MSZSL4I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They're usually $180ish, but if you wait they'll go down to $120-145 closer to the holidays and sometimes even cheaper. Great quality, excellent responsiveness and range, and the battery lasts FOREVER (I've literally…

The Skinnylicious steak medallions are really tasty, and the whole portion is just enough to feel full and satisfied while still having room (and calories) left for cheesecake.

Misfit Shine is a waterproof step tracker that has a magnetic clip that you can attach to any clothing, including on your shoes or socks. I've had my Misfit Shine for over 3 years and have changed it's battery many times and it's still watertight for swimming. It also tracks sleep. I haven't had any issues with it syncing…

If you can find "green-skinned" or "florida" avocados (also sometimes called "slimcado", blegh), you might try to substitute those for regular hass avocados. The green-skinned avocados are much larger, have really smooth skin, and barely taste like anything. I use them as a fat/creamer in smoothies or in chocolate mousse.…

As someone who cooks a lot of different types of rice, the cooked weight of rice varies wildly depending on the variety (short vs medium vs long grain, white vs brown vs red vs black etc). Much better to measure out the dry weight and divide it into five equal portions after cooking.

Single, southeast US, and I spend $35-40 per week on groceries and household consumables. I eat a fair amount of chicken, fish (fresh salmon, frozen shrimp, occasionally catfish cause it's cheap), and beans/lentils. I cook almost everything and buy very few processed foods, which cuts down on my grocery bills. My most…

Tastes like chocolate grass, but in the best way. I steam a bit of milk, add matcha, whisk vigorously, then add hot water to bring it up to 8-10 oz for a latte. Steamed milk adds plenty of sweetness. Absolutely divine as an ice cream flavor, as long as you can get it without other added flavors (everyone around me seems to…

I like the idea of this way better than increasing premiums because of adverse health conditions, especially if it's paired with subsidized health programs (that are flexible enough to accommodate all types of home situations/work schedules/family commitments) to improve fitness, diet, etc. There are several companies that…

I mean, other governments also regulate what can be labeled water/sweat resistant. The US isn't the only one. For Japan specifically, a sunscreen is classified as a "daily/commuter" sunscreen or a "sports/active" sunscreen depending on how sweat/water resistant it is. You can find this info on sites like ratzillacosme.

Louder for the people in the back. Bolded for emphasis.

I've been liking these sweat-resistant sunscreens for my face (none sting my eyes): Kiss my face sensitive sunscreen spf30 - no fragrance, sweat/water resistant, combined physical/chemical sunscreen, moisturizing so it may feel greasy if you're a very oily-skinned person (I'm normal-oily and it's fine if I skip my AM…

Happens to me too, seemingly at random (am on hormonal BC). I've had luck combating the bottomless pit feeling by eating a large, high-fat/high-protein lunch with some simple carbs. So I'll get some fried chicken and french fries or a burger and just go to town, maybe adding a milkshake or some other high-calorie dessert.…

Frittatas are a good high-protein, low sugar breakfast. Pair with some fruit or a salad and you're good to go.

Homemade chicken and rice soup is great and filling. All you need is a rotisserie chicken (meat and bones separated) and some veggie odds and ends. For the stock: 1. Sautee about a cup of chopped celery, carrots, and onion in a large stockpot/rice cooker/slow cooker (great use for those inner ribs of celery/leftover onion…
