  • Oh, I should have said but I'm 5'6". Haha, thanks ukaryote, I think he's pretty cute too! It's pretty darn encouraging to know that people can see a difference where I can't, so thanks for all of your kind words! And to those Mama's looking to lose, you can do it! Friend me, if you like! Most importantly is that I'm doing…
  • I went from 185.4 last week to 180.4 this week. I'm pretty sure at least half of that was water weight once I finished my period, but still, it's nice to see such a change! This coming week won't see such a drop, but I didn't do horribly with Halloween and I had a nice swim today, so I'm feeling pretty good. Keep it up!
  • Currently 180 and hoping to lose 30-40lbs yet!
  • Ohhh, I see! Well I hope she figures things out all right. :)
  • From 185.4 last week to 180.4 this week!
  • I'll add you! I'm hoping to lose 20 by January as well! OP just stated they'd like to lose 20 by January. Maybe it's their first goal they've set. Anyway, I've lost 32lbs since the last week of August without making myself sick from working out or starving myself, so it can be done. Edit: Oh nvm, their account is…
  • I'm going to add you! I also had lost like 55-60 before I had my baby and gained 35 back. I just reached pre-baby weight but I still have more to lose!
  • Yeah, eggs for me definitely. Eggs, tuna, sweet potatoes, squash, and lately we've been having a lot of mashed cauliflower, too. Really good!
  • Wow, loving all these progress pics - you guys are all such great motivation! I started a topic for mine but I wish I had just noticed this thread first lol. From left to right: 208lbs, 195lbs, and 180lbs.
  • I have a 7 month old and I'm on maternity leave currently so I'm sure it'll be harder once I go back to work, but for now we go for walks(he's either in his stroller or on me in a carrier) and go to the gym. Both sets of grandparents are able to help us out by watching him when we workout though, which I'm so thankful for.…
  • Last night I only had one candy from our bowl of Halloween candies, and we have so much left over but I'm really not feeling tempted. Yet, anyway. I think tonight will be a struggle. BUT, I can do it!
  • Oh man, thanks! I've seen 30 Day Shred mentioned but I had no idea what it was. That app sounds great though, I'll be downloading that for sure! Looking forward to checking these things out. Thanks, again!
  • Add me! I have a 7 months old and I'm approx halfway down to where I'd like to be. :)
  • It's definitely a personal choice. I know women who basically said 'screw it' to trying to get their bodies fit between babies. They just waited until they were finished having children and THEN got fit. My son is 7 months old and we're thinking about trying for the next closer to the end of next year, so I know I have the…
  • My son is 7 months old and I just reached my pre-pregnancy weight and am trying to get another 30-40lbs down or so, but I did lose weight before I got pregnant. The summer before he was conceived we decided when we were going to start trying and I really wanted to be in a healthier place before I became pregnant, so I took…
  • I agree so much with lots of what has been said already - especially the 'split your goal up' thing. I started out at 212 and my first goal was to get under 200, then when I weighed in at 198 my goal was to lose 30lbs total. I reached that goal today, and now my goal is to be between 160-165 by Christmas/New Years. This…
  • I always kept my favourite smaller clothes. Two weeks ago I tried on a pair of jeans I haven't work in two years and had a bit of a muffin top, but now they fit comfortably, and I have two more pairs of jeans each a size smaller than the next to work towards fitting into. Although I DID buy a jacket I could barely zip up,…
  • I think it depends where you're starting from and how far you have to go, but I read somewhere that close family and friends who see you all the time really start to notice at around 20lbs and everyone else starts noticing around 30lbs. I found the 30lbs thing true with my coworkers, but I mean I wear scrubs to work so no…
  • That's so unfortunate because you've been waiting so long for your husband to be cleared for the surgery and probably are just wanting to get this done. If I were in your situation I would certainly be upset as well, but try not to take it personally. They have those guidelines in place to make sure everyone involved is in…
  • Hahaha, funny how we think as kids. Reece's peanut butter cups and tootsie rolls were my favourite. I would try to trade for them but my brother and sister liked them just as much. Least favourite were coffee crisps, I'd trade those for skittles or tootsie pops, and like 95% of chips were just plain potato chips and as I…
  • When I was 17 I had a major crush on a 26 year old coworker. We started dating when I was 21 and he was 30, and then got married a year and a half later. The girl he dated before me was a year older than me and he swore loudly that he'd never date someone that much younger again. I knew we were meant to be. ;P
  • I feel so dumb but I thought I was 5'7" ever since I was in high school until like 3 days ago when I measured my height to find out the exact Centimetres. Anyways, I'm 5'6". :) This is all post-baby. SW: 212 CW: 185 GW: 150 In high school I was always 140-150, but I shot up to 170 in my first year of University and haven't…
  • The goal MFP set for me is 179g, but so far it seems I'm usually in the 150-200 range.
  • I am happier with the benefits of my healthier lifestyle than I am when I eat bad food. My husband and I were at a point where we ate fast food like 5 days a week and were barely active. Not only does it feel good to get out and go for walks and go to the gym rather than stay at home all the time, but eating healthier has…
  • Definitely happened to me! I was 190 and trying to lose when I started dating my husband. We slowly gained weight throughout our dating and engagement until I was my highest ever, 233! We lost 30lbs together right before our wedding and then gained most of it back the following year. Basically, we can be really healthy but…
  • Congrats! With my last weigh in my BMI was 29.9, so I know exactly how you feel. :) See you in the 'healthy weight' category!
  • I just joined and am trying to build up some friends, so I'm going to add you as well! :)
  • I'd love more friends!
  • I've only joined yesterday but as far as I can tell there isn't a Breastfeeding option. I just keep in mind that I should be eating an extra 400 or so calories a day to make sure I'm staying healthy in order to keep Breastfeeding. Actually, when we joined the gym two months ago we were working out like 6 days a week for a…
  • I'm not perfect either, and I'd love to have more friends!
