For cycling I wear shorts from Performance Bicycle. The baggy shorts come with a liner, but I have a pair that I removed the liner from. I found them to be comfortable and I like the pockets even without the liner. But the important thing is that people wear something other than cotton. Cotton retains moisture.

I ride a bicycle for more than two hours because it is fun, not to lose weight.

I actually ate too little and I wasn't trying to. We ate dinner late, so I ended up skipping supper. Then today I went for a 65 mile.

It wasn't so much that I was trying to lose weight but because I was broke, but I used to buy a loaf of bread, make sandwiches out of it and then stick them back in the bread bag and freeze the whole thing. Each morning I would pull a sandwich out of the bag, throw it in a lunch cooler and by lunch time it was thawed…

Technically, no you can't because a lot of those excess calories have already turned to fat. But if you eat less the next day then you'll end up burning that fat and it all evens out for the week.
-
Really? You're sure you're burning 900 calories in one hour? While I sometimes burn that many in an hour of riding a bicycle, it isn't a regular occurrence.

Log it. Move on. Don't do it again. As long as you are normally in a calorie deficit, you will eventually make up for days that are over. It changes when you are in maintenance, but even then there's no reason to worry about an over day until you see the scale outside your goal range.

Nobody gets it exactly right, but my experience with Garmin is that they get it within the ballpark.

Coffee or a soda, maybe even tea, is probably the best bet. Caffeine in small amounts can be helpful, but consuming energy drinks regularly isn't good for you.

Keto won't make you lose weight any faster than any other diet that creates a calorie deficit. If you like what you are eating then stick with it. If not, find something you do like.

I would guess he is trying to increase the amount of time he can hold a heavy weight.

That philosophy really doesn't make sense, because the people who eat the most and lose weight are either people who are spending many hours a day exercising or they are people who have health problems that prevent them from metabolizing food properly. It is better to exercise a moderate amount and eat a quantity of food…

I meant it as a lighthearted way of saying that I have a low opinion of the whole concept. The body is constantly working to cleanse itself. The only way toxins build up is if you are taking in more toxins than it can handle in a short time. A prime example of this is alcohol. Consume a little and the body handles it…

Anyone who thinks eating bland is a good idea is doing this wrong. As for the options, both look healthy, but the salmon is probably the healthier option. Or do what I would do. Ride your bicycle and it won't matter much what you eat because you'll burn through most of it by the time you get home anyway.

Keep in mind that our bodies naturally keep us near our current weight. If we are more active we get hungrier. If we eat more than normal we feel stuffed and cut back a little. In order to lose weight we have to go against our natural tendency. This is why it is helpful to track calories. Once you have lost weight you…

Average is about 7500 steps, but average is sedentary. I would think 15,000 would be active.

Give it three or four weeks. If it hasn't gone away on it's own by then then it isn't "water weight."
-
I enjoy riding a bicycle at night, especially in the light of a full moon. But it is more dangerous, so I don't do it much.
-
I usually shower after my fitness journey, not before.
-
Just watch your actual weight loss. If it's consistently more than 2 lbs per week then you need to make sure you eat more.
-
I see a lot of people doing it, but it isn't the best idea. On shared use trails they don't always hear cyclists coming from behind, even when they announce themselves loudly. On city streets they may be unaware of vehicles behind them or coming from a driveway.
-
Technically, it would be possible to gain weight without eating, but practically it's impossible.
-
You can't see the website at www.performancebike.com over there? I would expect you to be able to see the site, I just don't know about shipping and taxes.
-
I don't know if you can get it where you are, but here in the U.S. the best I have found is the store brand from Performance Bicycle. It is also cheaper than the other high quality stuff out there.

Weight doesn't go up overnight. It always decreases unless you are raiding the frig in your sleep.
-
Keep in mind that you are expected to take about 5,000 steps per day, so the calorie burn would be for the steps over and above that.
-
You trust MFP over the nutritional information the maker is required to provide?
-
It doesn't make any difference in the amount of fat you lose. But yes, your weight may go up or stay constant during the time you are constipated. I find that eating donuts work great at encouraging things to start moving.

Cyclists in a race will sometimes burn that many calories, but I'm sure the guy on Survivor is just trying to make himself look good.
