  • Yeah everyone really is different. I noticed cheese also don't fill me up. The bulking up on veggies is a great idea. I tried adding another egg before, and it didn't make a difference unfortunately :( Also since the cookies fit into my calorie goal, it's not too much of a problem :) Especially since I haven't had junk…
  • I've tried making more eggs, but they just don't seem to keep me full or satisfied for even over a hour.
  • It's strange since I find 300 calorie meals to be filling in general. I always eat oatmeal in the morning which is around 292 cal , chicken soup 200 cal, pumpkin soup 242 cal, and in the summer I was eating yogurt with fruit and protein powder 262 cal. All those meals satisfy me a lot more than eggs for some reason.
  • That actually sounds like a good idea, eggs with carbs like potato or whole grain bread. I think that might be more filling :) I find carbs and protein together make a filling meal generally. I'm always satisfied with my oatmeal which is a mix of protein and carbs.
  • That's very true! It's strange how different every person is when it comes to satisfying your aptitude. The most filling foods for me are oatmeal and yogurt with berries and protein powder. I think for me, protein is what makes me full. I also noticed carbs can be filling when paired with protein, at least for me. But it…
  • It really is strange, but eggs never fill me up either which is strange since I've always heard people say they are extremely filling. I dislike cottage cheese a lot, so it sounds a bit gross to me. I've heard people use greek yogurt though which sounds a little better, but still odd. I don't think it would make the meal…
  • That's true :) I always heard it was good to add cheese for extra protein/fat. I did add 2 eggs + a egg white. I have tried 3 eggs with veggies and turkey in the past, but I still wasn't satisfied :(
  • Whooo finally someone that understands me :D Wow you do eat a impressive amount!! I've been eating about 60-90 grams a day:P But then again, Women do have lower calorie intake than men. So I would eat more if I could fit them in my calorie goal xD
  • hmmm that does sound delicious :D Do I add anything else or just banana?
  • I do add a lot of ingredients in my oatmeal, so it's not just oatmeal :D Also I have a balanced dinner with meat, veggies, and a starch.
  • Oh gosh I love your idea of putting pumpkin into the oatmeal!!! Sounds delicious. The only sad thing is here in the Netherlands, we don't have cans of pumpkin puree or anything like that. It seems like a lot of work to make home made pumpkin puree. I actually did add chocolate protein powder in my oatmeal before, but it…
  • [quote="SLLRunner;347883 [/quote] I think you need to get into treatment right away! Just kidding. :D I love oatmeal and have it every morning, except weekends when I have French toast and bacon. However, I would suggest that you take a look at your macros to see where your fat and protein fall, which are probably pretty…
  • I love your attitude!! :D Your right! I shouldn't worry too much about it, especially since this is most likely a short-term love affair. I know I will include at least 1 bowl of oatmeal for breakfast at least until it gets warm again, but for now I'm sure it's alright that I have 2 a day, especially if I enjoy it so much.…
  • I think your right about the short term obsession! I haven't had it in over 6 months and I just started having it last week. It's also really fun with the different flavor combinations. It really is comforting and warm. Even if it is short term, it is strange to be obsessed with oatmeal. I've been addicted in the past to…
  • My nut mix has cranberries and raisins :)?
  • Thanks! It really is so random :D Oatmeal is love, oatmeal is life!! Oddly enough, I go through many different food phases that i obsess over as well. Oatmeal was actually a previous phase for me lots of times. For a few months, I was hooked on greek yogurt with protein powder and berries, but then the cold weather came…
  • Ha ha of course I could :) But I love it since it's easy to make, warm, filling, and it satisfies all my cravings for sweets, chocolate, and peanut butter. I enjoy it a lot more than soup or eggs to be honest too xD For a mid snack I was thinking of Maple and Brown sugar oats or pumpkin soup :( It really is difficult xD
  • I think obsessed is a much better term ha ha! It's hard to resist it since it hits all my cravings. I absolutely love chocolate and peanut butter, so they are a amazing combination! The Festive Oatmeal is really filling and easily digested which is important for my IBS. Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal has always been one of…
  • To be fair, Last week I was eating 2 bowls of oatmeal for breakfast and lunch. Then starting yesterday, I started having 3 bowls which I count one as a snack. None replaced or counted as dinner though :) For dinner I always have meat, veggies, and starch. I do realize I might be lacking in some vitamins that are needed…
  • To be honest, I haven't really ever payed much attention to my macro's. I mainly focus on the calories and eating well for my body. My body has responded really well with the oatmeal and stays full longer. I think I get good protein with the oatmeal, nuts, chai seeds, coacoa powder, peanut butter, and milk. I also get…
  • One of the reasons I love the oatmeal so much is because it keeps me full, so I don't go over my calorie limit :) I'm not sure about how much nutrients I'm getting though.
  • I actually looked at the hot chocolate mix's here, but I saw that while they are low in calorie, they are also very low in protein. So I rather use pure cocoa or protein powder :) I also love cinnamon and nuts in my oatmeal! I don't like fruit much in oatmeal for some reason, but just my preference.
  • wow Shara! That sounds absolutely delicious!! I love Pumpkin, so it sounds like something I would love :D I tried a new recipe today, my own Maple and Brown sugar oatmeal! I really love that flavor, but they don't have it in the Netherlands, so I made my own and it turned out great :) Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal: 30…
  • Thanks guys :) I never heard of savory oatmeal, but I will check it out.
  • Update: Tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! I also tried oatmeal with just the chocolate whey protein powder. I do wish there was more of a chocolaty flavor though. Maybe it's not as chocolaty because I use chocolate Whey protein powder and not pure cocoa? Anyways I would love…
  • Love the suggestions and support so far! Thank you so much :) @jshay295: I'm not sure what a venturilight is, but I am saving up for a light therapy lamp at the moment :) I did a week of light therapy at a Psychology place for a week and it helped me so much, so I know that's what I need to feel better. But yeah it is sad…
  • It really is a sad world :( ha ha! Being from California, I love butter popcorn! You know how common it is in the U.S., even in our movie theaters. All they have here in the Netherlands is sweet and salty, so I was extremely happy to bring back some yummy butter! Also thank you :)
  • Thank you so much :) I don't need 100% precise, so this is good!
  • Thank you soooo much!! I've been trying to figure this out for hours urg! I do have a food scale but I didn't weigh it when I popped it :( I did weigh a package that was unpopped and it was 107 grams with package and plastic. But I don't think that does anything really. Yeah I wish they were more specific and just told me…
  • That's great it's slow digesting and you notice the difference by a lot. Unfortunately there is only one casein powder I can find here. It's called Precision Engineered Pure Casein. Do you know anything about the brand, if it's good or not? Here is the nutritional value: Average nutritional value: One dose contains (scoop…
