Congrats on your surgery, and the next chapter in your life.
-
Awesome news!
-
Hope this has been resolved and that you're feeling better now.

I had gastric bypass in March, and took 2 weeks off. I am so glad I did, too. I was able to focus on healing, getting in a routine, and resting. Not sure of the others, but I was pretty worn out for about 2 months.
-
I am so sorry for your loss, Lori.
-
Congrats! Not much longer, now. You're gonna be just fine as long as you follow your surgeon's instructions and trust the process.
-
Thank you tat2cookie, and gonzalesvikki.
-
LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures!
-
Craig, you look amazing! Congrats on your success so far! Such an inspiration!
-
Thanks Jen! You're pretty awesome, too!

My knowledge of this stuff isn't good enough to have a conversation about this, but I am glad you're doing so well! Keep up the hard work Randy! It's obviously paying off for you!
-
That is SO good! Congrats! I am so happy for you! Oh and I love your Mabel avatar! HA! It really is the little things, right? Good for you! Congratulations on being cleared for a regular diet, and the compliment. I am sure you're feeling awesome right now. Not sure where you live but here where I am (central Texas) we are…

What wonderful days you all have had!! The "downsizing" and getting your grooves on! Rob hit his goal! Y'all are amazing and inspiring people! So, today the best thing that happened to me is I am getting a promotion! This means I will also be moving to a different building. I will have a longer commute, but the atmosphere…

I am so sorry you're going through this. I really have nothing more to add to what the others have mentioned here, but I wanted to say that I hope you are able to get it figured out. Things are hard enough, aren't they?
-
Congratulations! I had RNY on 3/9.
-
Jen is a wealth of information! She's the best!

LOL Karlotta! I agree REVOLT! Seriously though, it is ridiculous. I am going to have to find some new supplements. What's so frustrating is that these are for bariatrics that I get from my surgeon's office. hmmmm James, I have no answers for you since I am just about a week out further than you.
-
Yeah, I was noticing yesterday that almost 100 calories and 20 grams of carbs were coming from my supplements alone!
-
Oh yes, sipping and exercise are two great suggestions for pre-op. And it really is a good idea to find a good protein that you will enjoy like Karlotta said. If you can get a hold of samples rather than buy a bunch of stuff that would be ideal, but it isn't always possible. I was lucky that I was able to get a bunch of…

I agree it needs to stop. Everyone needs to feel welcomed and respected here.
-
Congrats and welcome to the losers side! I agree with Lori and Jen. Walk, sip, take care, rest, do your breathing, and be kind to yourself. It's a process and you will do just fine. Feel free to ask any questions you have, too.
-
Wow Dustin! Awesome job so far! You're gonna do great!
-
Echoing what Rob said. It won't be the last stall you have either. It's all part of the process. Hang in there. You're doing just fine!
-
Hi Dustin, I had the RNY procedure, and the road hasn't been too bumpy for me. I've had a little issue just since I entered the pureed food stage, but we've decided that either I've developed a food intolerance (which happens sometimes). Or my body may not have been ready for the pureed stage just yet. Going back to…

Congrats! It's getting close! You're gonna do great. The nerves are normal, and honestly the pre-op is the hardest part because of the anticipation of what is to come. Once it's all done you're gonna feel so much better and in such a short amount of time. Not gonna lie, there is some discomfort afterward, but do what they…

So glad I read this (thanks for asking willowmarie12). I was starting to worry. I am still working on my energy levels after work, too. So tired once I get home.
-
Oh yeah! The gas pain! It seems EVERYONE experiences it.
-
I don't drink very often (maybe once or twice a year) and haven't even thought about it since surgery. Will be interesting to see what other responses are.
-
This is one of the hardest parts of the whole process. A friend of mine just got approved and it took just over 2 weeks, I just don't know what insurance she has. Try to keep busy so you don't think about it too much. Good luck and I hope it comes soon.

Ditto what the others have said. Get your rest. Don't push too hard. Do your best. Hang tight. Walk every day. And sip your water. You've got this!
