  • Thanks
  • Congrats and you're going to do great! Very normal to be a bit nervous, but you're in good hands with your team. Be sure to follow the doctor's orders, and sip sip sip!
  • Hey there! I have a few favorite protein shakes that I enjoy. The Mocha Frappe is my morning go-to shake. Mocha Frappe 2 rounded tsp - Folgers Instant Decafe Coffee Crystals 1 scoop - Body Fortress Chocolate Whey Isolate Protein 1 tsp - Stevia In the Raw Extract 1 Tbsp - Hershey's Cocoa 8 oz - Vanilla Unsweetened Almond…
  • Amazing post, Rob! Thanks for sharing with us. You're an inspiration.
  • Welcome to the board! Take heart and realize that this is going to be one of the best things you've ever done for yourself. Try not to over think things. Follow the program, and your surgeon's recommendations. It is a good idea to start walking now if you have the ability to do so. You're gonna do great. Most important…
  • WOOO WHOOO LOOK AT YOU! Great job! You look amazing! Keep up the awesome job!
  • My goodness! Thank you all so much!
  • Yes, you can always change/modify your goals. Don't worry too much about it. Just maybe set a goal for now and see how things go. Make a short term goal. For instance, focus on losing a percentage of your current weight. And when you hit that, make a new goal.
  • Thank you dragonflies6, Trayjay33, and lmryoung. It's been such a wild ride, and I am so thankful to be on it!
  • It's so very important to drink your water. You do NOT want to get dehydrated. The timer is a good idea.
  • Good luck Katydid86 and ThinGwen! Y'all are gonna do great!
  • Oh geez, I have got to work on the water and protein. I hope I get to the point where it just happens without having to think about it. But until then, I have to work on it.
  • Renaejae, I have also found that day to day may be different for me. One day I can have something, and then try the leftovers the next day and not be able to tolerate it. That's not to worry you, but to let you know that if it happens it's normal. I've had this happen a few times. Also, the nurse that runs our support…
  • Fantastic! Great job, and I bet you feel wonderful, too!
  • Thank you akindofmagick and joysie1970. I am loving the new cut, ANNNND I colored it this weekend. It's not the color I was looking for, but it's not bad. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. And yes, Joysie, there were some pretty ugly days there for a while, but they seem to be behind me now!
  • Exciting! You're gonna do great though. Just remember to walk as soon and as much as possible and sip your water! Good luck!
  • Thanks, Lori. I feel pretty darned good these days, too. :D
  • Congrats! cmchandler74, yes, some insurance plans require the evaluation, but not all. If you want/need to know if your plan requires it, call the number on the back of your card and inquire.
  • Renaejae - I DO know what you mean! LOL I had been hesitant to try salad. For some reason in my head it just wasn't going to go down. But the other day I had a lettuce wrap from Jimmy Johns and it went just fine. I am quite a bit further out than you, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't work at first. anbrdr -…
  • Thanks everyone!
  • It took me a long while before I wasn't exhausted. There are still some days that I don't have energy, but that may be the Texas heat... Hang in there, it will get better.
  • Thank you all so much for your kind words. And 911Chrisy, yes, take pictures!! And when you're feeling down, frustrated, or just like you don't feel that there is progress, pull them out... You will be amazed!
  • I love this thread and seeing how well you've all done!

  • Awesome thread! Giving me some great ideas!
  • I'm a bit of a slow loser, and had a couple of stalls. Here are my stats. Pre-op weight loss - 14 lbs One month - 16 lbs Two months - 13 lbs
  • Some yummy looking dishes here!
  • Hope you are feeling better. Congrats on getting rid of the CPAP soon!
  • I love adding coffee to my morning shakes! So yummy! And like a few others have mentioned, the Sytrax Nectar is one of my favorites. I have the Fuzzy Navel and Vanilla Bean Torte right now and one of my favorite things to do is mix the two of them together.
  • Just like all the things in my life that I have to "fit in", I find I just have to prioritize and make things happen. I tell myself that if it is important to me, I will make it work. Thankfully I have an understanding boss who allowed me some extra time here and there when I needed a day time appointment.
  • You're probably about done with this stage and have moved on to the soft food stage. I still have trouble with eggs, and have given up on them for a while. I will try again in a few months. Hoping things are much better for you now.
