You're welcome! :D

Yeah, like I said there are so many ways to make it, and mine is just one of those. I love that I am able to enjoy the goodness of homemade yogurt! My daughter loves the yogurt I make, but won't eat the store bought stuff.

I had my surgery on March 9th and my doctor has taken me off my Metformin, and my other medications, for now because my numbers have all been so good without it while I am recovering. She wants to do blood work in June where we will see where my hba1c levels are at that time. Hoping I will not have to take any of my…

Thanks everyone!

Kleona, everyone is different. A lot will depend on how you heal and what procedure you're having. I do know a lot of people get pretty wiped out, while others truck along as if nothing has happened. Is there any back up for you should you not be able to do the class?
-
Which procedure are you having?
-
Thank you ladies! I am so pleased with everything at this point. Good luck to you willowmarie, I hope the same for you as well.
-
Thanks! I hope you get the same news, too! I really hope that I won't have to keep any of it up. Will be so good!
-
Great idea!

Wow Karlotta, that has to be so difficult. I am so sorry. {{{HUGS}}}

Get some walking in....as much as you can, and drink lots of water during this weekend. Good luck I hope it all works out for you!

I actually feel pretty much like I will be fine on Monday. Like I had told Michelle, if I get too wiped out, I will go take a nap in my car! My boss will be totally okay with it. But considering the low stress, and low physicality, of my job, I am sure I will be fine. I am kind of looking forward to getting back. I am…

Great news! Good luck on Monday!

Some great posts here. What a great group! Yes, I've heard that these surgeries can cause a lot of emotions as you are basically mourning a past "relationship". Having tools/options can be essential in being able to get past some days.
-
Thanks Randy. Will definitely keep that in mind.

Just one week out and I am getting about 45 - 50 ounces of fluids in me, and anywhere between 40 & 50 grams of protein. I see my surgeon tomorrow so I may get to move up to full liquids. WOOO WHOO!!

Thanks Karlotta. I am not having one of those days. This was just a conversation starter. I was wondering what others do when they do have them. I know there will be days that will seem unbearable, so it's good to have a plan or "exit strategy" so to speak. I think it would be helpful for others to see how people work…

I can't add anything more than what the others have said, but I am so glad you talked to your doctor. Be kind to yourself right now.

This is why I love this group so much. Y'all are all so awesome and encouraging. I am really doing well. I just had that little bout of discomfort that was promptly taken care of with my medication...and the recliner! LOL Kleona29, thank you. I am humbled by your post. You will do great when you go in. Just remember to…

I agree with everyone else here. It is totally normal to have the "second guessing" thoughts. Now that I've had the surgery (Monday, March 9), my blood sugar levels are vastly improved! I am over the moon about that alone! I haven't had indigestion either. Write a list of the reasons you opted for the surgery. What brought…

kchaki, my surgeon required I take Prilosec every morning for the 30 days following my RNY surgery. He also told me that many people who have the sleeve have problems with reflux. They aren't sure why but figure it is because there is more pressure in the stomach with the sleeve. With the bypass he said I will not have to…

I heard back from the nutritionist. She said I could add in the milk based protein drinks but only use water for mixing right now. She also suggested that I try to just have smaller amounts to see how it goes. We will see. Thanks ladies!

I am sorry that you felt frustrated, but I have to agree with Trayjay33. I think that sometimes we (I am bad about it, too) allow the scale too much power. The scale just shows a number. More important, how are you feeling? How do your clothes fit now? How far have you come? As long as you are sticking to your program and…

I can't have anything pureed just yet. Still on just clear liquids. But I think I will be getting some unflavored protein powder this week. Thanks tat2cookie.

Renae thank you for the kind words, and you're gonna do awesome when your time comes.
-
Thanks everyone. I think I tried to get off the pain meds too early and have had to resort to using it again. But that is okay. I am feeling great and doing well with my recovery. Y'all are all the best!

I have used the recliner most of the time since being home. It's been a life saver.
-
I am still too new at all this, so I am sorry I do not have any advice other than contacting your surgeon's office. They might be better able to help with this. I am wondering if you need an anti-nausea medication?
-
Thank you Laura. Will be thinking of you & susie864 as your days approach. Y'all are gonna do just fine. And like Luna said, we have a great group here to support you.

Thanks cabennett99 and lenac87!
