I also walk and have lost 16 lbs in 50 days. That is my main source of exercise. I do a few other things, but walk the most. I love it! Especially, in this weather we are having (I am in North FL, so high temps are anywhere from high 50s to low 70s).

I just made sweet potato fries for the first time about a month ago. Hands down, one of my new favorite things! :) Thanks for the suggestions.

It's up to everyone's personal preference. I just feel weird if it gets too long. When I was in law enforcement, I personally shaved a lot more, just because I was always worried if something happened to me and my body hair was all crazy, I didn't want the EMTs to comment or think anything... lol. I know that is strange.

Sure, come on! I am in Northern Florida! I think I just wanted to do something different, since this Christmas will be a little different. My kids will tear up the mac and cheese! So I will probably still make that. I have never had brussel sprouts! :(

I also weigh in daily, but I only log once a week. I do it to see how my activity and what I ate during the previous day effects my weight. Obviously, if I put on 2 lbs, I need to change something from the previous day.

I tried a 7 day cleanse last year where each day you could only eat certain things and some cabbage soup. One day was just veggies, another was just fruit. I seriously felt awful after two days and TMI here - had the WORST diarrhea, that I had to stop.

FYI, I made this over the weekend, it was delicious. Reminded me of pumpkin pie filling, but not as sweet or the same consistency, but still tasty. Also super easy to make!
