Isnt that what you are talking about doing anyway? I get restricting foods for medical reasons. I dont get it otherwise. I get feeling good about trying to eat more whole foods, but personally dont see why I would cut anything out of my diet. Cut down, maybe, but altogether? Not for me!

Im using the zenlabs one, does the job just fine for me. Alternatively I believe you can download podcasts

I am very comfortable in saying no, but a lot of the time the other party isnt as comfortable accepting "no"! This I found to be a very easy way of avoiding that, people just wont argue. However, I do often end up playing Taxi at the end of the night... Absolutely, its a very different experience. Can be quite funny in a…

Sort of. Never been a morning person, but the fact I simply will not work out after a long day meant I needed to get up and do it in the mornings. I get up and do it fine, it works for my schedule. However, I get up just the same on non work out days as well! Very frustrating! Though my wife likes it, there is no arguing…

I find it easier to either drink like normal or not at all. So if I dont want to drink, I drive. "Want a pint Sam?" "Cant, Im driving" "Ok, want a coke or something?" No fuss or anything, nobody wants to get you to drink and drive! The only problem then is realising people arent as fun when they are drunk and you are not!

Its a terrible experience which I wouldnt wish upon anybody, but you can make it work for you. Assuming care is something you are interested in! He is finding there is so much more to it than the actual care giving as well. There is the support to the carers, such as the charity you mentioned. There are huge amounts of…

You are a credit to yourself and your gran, what a fantastic attitude to have. Very humbling. With regard to this - you remind me of my cousin. He was miserable working in banking, and suddenly lost his mother. This meant he had to organise care of his father who had a stroke many years ago and needs similar care to your…

W1D2 today, was hard but about 1% better than D1. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel! I really am not running fast by any means, I just have lungs the size of walnuts! It will get better Im sure Thanks

Im on the program, baring injury or issues Ill keep going. Its just hard to believe there will be such rapid improvement. Especially from someone who has never been a runner! I am rubbish though - hopefully not for long! :D Thanks

I averaged 5mph, I usually walk at about 4mph so Im not sure if I actually can slow down! Its weird. Like Im built for walking. Happy to get a march on at 4mph and maintain it for hours, just keep going happy as can be. Jog, and Im panting and puffing with my heart beating out of my chest in 100yds. I think its just the…

Thanks! Im glad you are finding it easier. At the moment the issue for me is not the legs but the lungs, so the opposite of you! Glad to hear it gets better, not sure I could stick to it if everytime I felt like today...

I started stronglifts in March, currently my Deadlift is 85kg and my squat 70kg. Ive never lifted before, started with the bar and have been to the gym 20 times for SL workouts. I think if I were to try and set up at home Id go with 100kg to start, and likely pick up some more in the not to distant future.

Well I did it. My legs arent to happy with me right now and my chest was trying to recreate that famous scene in alien the whole time but I did it. All I can say is that all the positive testimonies, the transformations people attribute to c25k, all of them are lies. I cannot for a minute uimagine me running the required…

Thanks! Its a tough one. I found when I started Stronglifts there is a fine balance between pacing yourself in and pushing through the discomfort or not pushing enough/pushing too hard. I have since come to trust my instinct on taking a day off, hopefully you are in tune with your body enough to make the right call! ETA -…

No idea what a far burn stack is but I assume LISS to be Low Intensity Steady State, as in cardio - jogging nice and steady, that kind of thing.

I didnt do it this morning! Thursday will be the day...

Agreed - I like to use the rowing machine. Back/arms/legs/lungs all warmed up nicely before lifting. However its not a "session" or even busting a gut, it is purely for warm up purposes.

Cornetto - Peanut Butter Love Ill say no more...

I had similar a while back - just logged a coffee for each day of the following week to make sure I had *something* logged each day, didnt need to panic about signal then!

It may be worth backing off on your rate of loss. I cant see your diary so dont know what your current calorie goal is, but I found that at 1200 and 1400 it was just too much like hard work. However, at around 1500 it was something I could achieve with a lot more comfort/freedom and so I was able to stick to it very well -…

I dont use Strava, but am intending to start C25K tomorrow - so Ill be following your progress with interest. Ive never been a runner. Couldnt run to the end of the street without coughing a lung. Strangely though I can walk like a machine. I get a march going and can keep a good pace for hours, average 13-14 min mile.…

My secret is that I have made it habitual. Its "just what I do" rather than "something extra I am trying to add to my day" Took some time, but after a while consistent logging etc just became habit.

My wife made no changes at all when I was losing weight. She still had snacks in the house, wine in the fridge... In fact she did absolutely nothing to help me in what I was doing. She didnt change her eating or shopping habits, she didnt get into working out or anything. And Im fine with that, at no point did I expect…

I eat out. I blow my calorie budget for the day. I enjoy it. I get "back on the wagon" the following day. While in the restaurant I eat what I want, but I admit I do find myself being a little mindful of the calories in things (if printed) while making my choices.

And theres a lesson learned! If it helps, when I started I had aches and fatigue the first week, but I just stuck to the program (without any extra exercise!) and it soon passed. After the first week the DOMS was gone and hasnt returned.

Drank to much last night. As ever, these days, when I drink I dont sleep at all well. Woke up numerous times. Still got up this morning and went to the gym before work. Feel terrible now. Also feel great for getting it done!

"OK Babe, just wait for a minute while I pre-log this... ...do you think I should put Doggy style and misioinary as different exercises? ...I cant find foreplay in the database!"

The nature of 5x5 is that you dont get "used" to it. It gets harder every time, makes you push harder everytime, which means the recovery days are very much needed! I started in March, Ive gone from having the trembly legs after a workout to just being worn out after a workout. I dont ache these days (like I did the first…

Cheers. Im new to stength training and so far just havent seen the point of the smith - though it sounds like it could become useful when I start looking at accesorie work

I always keep a few in the freezer. I prefer to have something I know is decent enough in terms of calories/nutrition for those days when life just gets in the way and you need a quick and easy dinner. If I didnt have them I would end up eating rubbish just for convenience.
