  • Currently 124, still wanting to shed more fat to get a full six pack. It's hard to eat lower at maintenance thought! I've lost about 3-4lbs, and gained muscle definition.
  • Do all of you who believe that it's the meds that are to blame realise, that if that were true, we could solve starvation worldwide? Bam! A drug with no calories that cause you to gain weight without having to eat more! Imagine the lives that could be saved in Africa! Magic (*)
  • I generally more hungry after I started counting calories - sure I eat less, but I also eat "better" (complex carbs, protein, etc.). I think it's psychological.
  • Hey there! I just wanted to say that I did the Insanity program recently and had great results. I only skipped 2 workouts (because of a hangover, lol). I didn't have much to lose, only a few lbs, but I did it mainly to get my heart pumping and get my body moving. I aimed for an average of 1800 calories per day, including…
  • Since your profile states that you have excess weight to lose, you once ate at a surplus... So, you know what it takes: eat a little more. If you for some reason are put off by eating "big volumes" of food, just eat calorie dense foods. 50g of nuts = 280 calories 80g of condensed milk in tea or coffee - yum! = 290 calories.

  • High protein/low calorie salty snacks I eat almost every day: - plain rice crackers (quite salty) w/ low fat cottage cheese (optional smoked salmon on top) - pan fried firm tofu marinated in hoisin and chili sauces - silken tofu w/ soy, sweet soy, spring onion dressing (optional roasted peanuts and sesame seeds) - cucumber…
  • I haven't done BR, so can't comment on the specific program, but keep in mind that diet is the key to losing weight/fat. Cardio will burn calories, and resistance/strength training with encourage muscle growth which will change the way your body looks. I completed Insanity a couple of weeks ago and started noticing changes…
  • Thank you everyone :) I realise I am at a healthy weight, so just looking at increasing muscle/decreasing fat. But I am not in a hurry. I need to go at a pace suitable with my life so that I won't reverse it once winter comes or I get lazy again, haha :) I may up my calories once I start lifting. It'll be the first time…

  • I'm almost there as well! Originally just wanted to shed 2 kgs, but now I'm more focused on what I'm seeing in the mirror. I'm 5'9" started at 58kgs, now down to 56kgs after 6 weeks on the Insanity program (the last 4 weeks I have been counting my calories, trying to eat approx. 1800 calories per day). I think it helps to…
