Thanks for the other resources, I'll check them out!

I have done the NF body weight workout before, love that site! I was hoping to add more activities though. Maybe I should just customize it, and only do 2 reps with more exercises :)

Lol I'd love to say this too my hubby, but he works while I stay at home with the kids. I know he would just make his own (and on days where I'm pulling my hair out from the kids driving me crazy he does make his own with no complaints) but I hate the idea of him making his own food after a long day at work. He can be…

It's definitely do-able. I was vegan/vegetarian for a long time while hubby is a meat-eater. A lot of meals are easy to accommodate both. I make vegetable fried rice a lot, with leftover meat from the freezer for hubbys dish. Tacos I'll do ground beef for him and beans for me. Pizza gets divided up 1/4 vegetarian, 3/4 with…

I find I do best on a small breakfast, large lunch, and medium dinner

I'm 5'8", currently 180 lbs, and aiming for 155 lbs. I know how you feel though, I'm so excited to just get under 165 lbs and be in a 'normal' BMI range!

Have your measurements changed? Does your fat feel different? When I was eating 1200 calories a day the scale was going down by half a pound a week, but my fat started to feel really squishy. It was really weird. I bumped up my calories for a few days, then brought them back down, and lost a bunch of weight over the next…

Vegetables? (not trying to be facetious, I just don't see any listed, and not sure how much room you have for storing them or appliances you can use for cooking them...)

Lol the only thing 'in season' right now where I live is maple syrup. I am SO looking forward to fresh-picked-this-morning produce!!!

Keep trying new foods, eventually you will acquire a taste for them. And like I say to my 3 and 4 year old kids: "We're going to be eating healthy foods in this house for a really long time, so you may as well learn to like all this healthy stuff now!"

Mine's still a work in progress. Dec 2014 (195 lbs) to March 2015 (176 lbs), with a goal weight around 155 lbs. I'm 5'8", 31 years old.

Try just coffee + cream. I find if I add sweetener then it's too sweet! :)
-
It's even better over cereal! Every now and then my kids request cereal, so that's what I give them (with maybe 3 tbsp of cream), but they never finish it all (which is why we rarely have cereal in the house and why we never have milk in the house). It's sooo good!

I asked this question a while back and found out that coffee has potassium ('coffee- brewed grounds' I think is the one with potassium listed)
-
I enjoy 18% cream in my coffee and tea. We don't keep milk in the house because none of us like it. If I need milk for a recipe I just use a splash of cream and fill the rest of the measuring cup with water.

If someone feels gross from eating poor food choices they may be too tired or weak to really push themselves in a workout, or they might have a more sedentary day and therefore not have the deficit they think they do.
-
I've had friends who have lost weight when the only thing they've done differently is avoid MSG. It prompted them to make better food choices, they didn't get headaches anymore, and they didn't eat because they were feeling blah. Purely anecdotal I know, but I'm not a scientist, and if I checked Google I'm sure I could…

My kids say the same thing. My reply to them is that they'd better get used to it because we are going to be eating healthy foods in this house for a very long time! Keep trying new vegetables, and prepare them in new ways. You might surprise yourself by how much you learn to love them!

Agreed, I'm not saying it's going to fix his issues overnight, but it will help to set him up for success long-term. And it could leave him feeling more full while eating less calories overall. I know I don't feel nearly as full eating a small store-bought high calorie meal, versus if I make something at home that is…

MSG for one. And less nutrients. It's like putting sub-par fuel in a sports car. It'll run, but not efficiently.

I feel like I was addicted to certain foods. Ones that would make me binge for days on end. When I was ready, and serious, I started by logging my foods for 3 weeks, and avoided the foods I knew would cause me to binge. After 3 weeks I allowed myself substitute treats. For example, I know I can't eat Humpty Dumpty BBQ…

You have a lot of processed foods in your diary. I bet if you started making more stuff from scratch you would see better results. I know I feel a lot better overall if I eat homemade fries versus store-bought fries. You'll find that you won't have to eat as much of the whole food to feel full either, because you'll be…

Could the 5 you've gained back be due to hormones? Food still digesting? Water retention? For me, a 5 lb gain is temporary, it usually whooshes after a few days. How does your body feel? Have you noticed a difference? Pants looser, or more snug? Your food looks normal to me (at least for the few days I checked out for the…

I'm pretty good at eyeballing now, and if I'm way off then I've usually over-estimated instead of under-estimated. For dry goods I've learned that my normal handful = 1/4c, and for scooping foods a heaping table spoon = 1/4c, so I use that as my baseline when I'm not around my scale.

Ok, first time posting pics, lets see if it works... Goal weight is 135-155 lbs, will determine it when I get a little closer... Oh, and I'm 5'8", 31 years old.

You can do it! I was 195 lbs in December 2014, and am now 176 lbs! So it is DEFINITELY do-able! I'm also 5'8"

That my clothes are getting baggy and that makes me think I've stretched them out. It's actually because I've lost 19 lbs (so far) though. And that some days I can still look in the mirror and see myself how I used to be.

^^ Love my GSI cookware! Found some good recipe ideas on this site: http://www.trailcooking.com/ You can make your own freezer bag cozy with items from your local dollar store. Make sure your backpack is comfortable and in decent shape. Last trek with friends I traded off my 20lb pack for my friends 40lb lopsided pack…
