• Oh I see now! I have to turn my phone horizontally for that information to show up. Thank you!!
• I weigh myself the same as the majority above. Can I just take a moment to address something though, because it seems that no one else has... If you're so frustrated with your weight to the point where you'll throw a scale out the window, resulting in damaging public property, you might want to consider going to talk to…
• You're probably running much faster overall though? I figure it's like when to have a lot of weight to lose, it comes off quicker the higher you are :) When I started running in January I was running a 15 minute mile on the treadmill. I've broken 11 minutes and change just a few times. I think I probably could do it, but…
• I know I won't improve to my friends pace. If I could get to a seven minute kilometer I'd be over the moon. Currently I'm 7:30-9:00, depending on the terrain. I'm definitely not putting in that many miles per week (yet). This week my plan says 39 km total, but I think I'll actually be like 43 km.
•
I'm Korean so I always have enough rice, I buy it 25 pounds at a time  Of course I would never waste that much rice to try and dry my shoes! I have wasted a gallon of white vinegar to get the stink out of workout clothes. A long soak in straight vinegar is the only thing that works for me.
I wash…
• Thanks ladies! I ended up cutting my run a little short (13.5km instead). The diva cup held up alright. I was worried it would get too heavy/irritate, but it held up just fine :)
• I just started the Non-Runners Marathon Trainer training plan. I've run before, but only like 5-8k, so I started the plan on week 3 and now I'm on week 6, so I'm three weeks in since I started running longer distances once a week. This will be the longest run I've ever had!
• Yes I was thinking a pad might not be the greatest idea... especially because it's raining here today too
• I've seen them on Facebook! Maybe I will try them out soon! I just bought a new vacuum, so I have to wait a bit before anymore splurges....
• Agreed with above, there are so many variables. I run in Brooks Defyance shoes (as per a podiatrist) because I have super wide hobbit feet. And I don't wear socks. We'll see how that goes now that my mileage is going up with marathon training...
• Night sweats can indicate sleep apnea too. In men another common sign is getting up at night a lot to pee
• Cool idea!! R11 SW 80.4 kg 10 day goal: under 80 kg Day / Weight / Comments 7/22 / 80.4 kg 7/23 7/24 7/25 7/26 7/27 7/28 7/29 7/30 7/31
• Yes, i figure I'll be in weight loss mode until the beginning of September, then I'll switch to maintenance. I'd like to keep working on my distance too, but I recognize that my pace time will suffer as a result
• Hello everyone, I'm new to this thread, and excited to be here! I'm following the Non-Runners Marathon Trainer, currently on week 5. I'll be doing a trail Ragnar in September, and a half marathon in October, with possibly a full marathon in November. My stats for this month (in kms) are as follows: 7/1 - rest 7/2 - 9.65…
• Wow congrats!! You look amazing!!
• I lost 35# a couple years ago, then gained back 25#. Working on losing it again, but this time I addressed the reasons why I was binge eating to begin with. So I think I'll have better odds of keeping it off this time. Are you able to address the reasons why you regained, and take the necessary steps to stop it going…
• I just signed up for the premium MFP, thinking that it would allow me to customize my daily calorie goals, but from what I can see, it will only let me do that on a weekly rotation. Which kind of sucks, because I work shift work, so my schedule and workout days are never consistent! I'll keep poking around though, maybe I…
• I definitely feel better eating vegetables. I have been focusing on my protein more, but you are right, I think I need to become more mindful about how much I am eating and stop before I am satisfied. I think it would also be beneficial for me to schedule food prep times when I know I'm going to have a busy week, so that I…
• Lol! Too late! I've actually only signed up for the half marathon (October), but the full marathon I *might* do is the following month. I'll be running with a friend who has a pace of 5:10/km, meanwhile I run about 7:30-8:30/km. I figured if I can drop some weight before then (July-Aug), then I'll be able to increase my…
• Good to know! Thank you both so much!
• I'm also training to run a half marathon in October. The long runs have me wiped the next day!
• When is your UK Ragnar? I ran one for the first time in May, and am excited to do a trail Ragnar this September!
• I was putting on deodorant this morning (rock salt crystal thing), and accidentally slammed it into my ribcage under the arm 'pit'. Who knew there was actually a cavity there, that had ribs under the skin?! Also, I am A LOT more protective of my mental happy space. I am okay with saying no to events that I know will cause…
• ^ all of the above for me. Mostly I get my protein through powders or bread. And once a year we split a side of beef from a local farmer. $700 gets us enough meat to last almost a whole year.
• I've been reading The Non-Runners Marathon Trainer. It's a pretty good book, and a good training plan. I'm on week 4 now, and run about a 12:30-13:30 minute/mile
• So so so this. I didn't realize that I was binge eating after interacting with my family. I think it was because I'm very different than they are. Also, I think my mom is very unhappy, and part of me subconsciously didn't want to get smaller because I knew she would be jealous/resentful and internalize my success as her…
