@SurferGirl1982 @violetamethyst Congrats on Day 1 AF!! So happy for you!

That's what I do, too. Drinking is my favorite hobby. Sad but true. My whole house is my "trigger". The door I come in is a trigger. The glasses in my cupboard can trigger me. And on and on.... So, I am trying to do different things to break my habits. Not going home right away after work and going for a walk. Stopping at…

Hi Carole, No worries on creating a new thread. I'm sure everyone will find it. You went for 7 days AF- bravo!! With each try, like Sunny Days says, it builds "muscle memory." I am listening to a book by Alan Carr (on Spotify) I'll listen to anything at this point keep me motivated.

I'm here, too. Day 22 AF today.

By the way Sunny and I met on this app and this very thread a few years ago. We connected, formed a friendship that I value. We're always supportive of each other through ups and downs. @MissMay Thanks for keeping this going after all these years.

@SunnyDays930 and I are celebrating our sober October together along with our husbands. We're on a weekend trip living the good life. Here's a photo of our delicious mocktail last night. Cheers! Day 20 AF for me Day 19 AF for Sunny. Our husbands are drinking, but normal, not crazy like we would be. I find it refreshing…

I would encourage you to go to that doctor's appointment to ask for a safe way to cut down. I don't think you should go cold turkey; there can be serious effects on the brain. You just want to be safe and not jeopardize your brain/health. Don't forget alcohol exacerbates anxiety. Have you tried hypnotherapy? Might be worth…

@AdahPotatah2024 I'm loving watching Don's cleaning tips! I just watched him clean his window; he uses Dawn dish soap in a bucket. I can't wait to watch more later- and he's funny.

@Michieb125 Thanks! Yahoo for 2 days AF. You'll feel really good on day 3.

@chicbuc wishing you well during this hurricane. Sorry you are going through this. I’ll be thinking of you. Proud of you for not getting wine.

14 days AF; I have not done that since 2021. I mentioned before that I felt so discombobulated the first week and I was angry. So angry I could not drink like everyone else in a normal way. This second week was better. I've had two weekends with no alcohol and I have gotten so much done. It's crazy how much extra time I…

Just checking in! I love to see the thread hopping!! Keep up the good fight! Quote for today: "I will come again & conquer you because as a mountain you can't grow, but as a human, I can." -Sir Edmund Hillary

Nice! Pass it forward! My post should have said now I CAN wear some of my old, lovely clothes from a few years ago. I chuckled when you said "I don't remember them being tight." Same here.

One of my favorite sayings. So true!

@MissMay Sorry I missed your birthday!! Happy Belated Birthday!

I can do the 30 day challenge. I will remove one item per day and donate it. (Probably more) This weekend, I plan on switching my wardrobe clothes- putting summer clothes away and getting out my fall clothes. I am really happy because over the last year I lost 30 pounds and I will not be able to fit in some of my old, nice…

Through my health insurance company I got an email that offered a program called Sword. After identifying a problem area like my knees they sent me a small monitor, sensors for my legs and a specialized program by a physical therapist. I like it - I can keep the equipment for as long as I use it , and I can tell my “real…

Thanks Karen! I love when you post. I especially like #2!!!

@200Karen I want to go on a train! I love it.

15 A 15 AF September results above I'm very happy with these results. And today I'm 8 days in a row AF. For me, once I get a few days AF, I then think "Do I want to ruin this streak?" It's so hard for me to start over. I've had hundreds of Day 1s. All I know for sure is today I am AF. I won't even think about tomorrow…

It is a relief to wake up without even the slightest hangover. Changes: my brain goes between happy and very sad. I know it's adjusting to a new pattern. After a weekend with friends who were all drinking, and I was not, I was relieved to come home Sunday feeling well. I am much more productive! I also have a priceless…

15 A 14 AF I have been AF for 7 days. I thought I'd never hit 15 AF this month but I surprised myself.
