I too have weak bones and I have also been recommended not to lift heavy. But my doctor has recommended Yoga, it is light on joints and helps with weight and inches reduction as well. I have reduced more than 1 inch from my belly. You too can start off with basic yoga initially, and move to enhanced versions as you…

Awesome!! truely inspirational.

Would you please elaborate on the routine that you are following

Please do not give up. You sound way too disheartened. Ups and downs are part of life. Try to eat low calories food.. that will allow you to eat more and keep you fuller for long. Day long mobility is bound to lead to weight loss, as has happened in your friend's case. My weight loss is also very slow, I suffered too many…

I have been a suffering from PCOS from last 10 years now. It started getting better only after i started incorporating some sort of exercise(started with just basic walking) in my routine since last 2 years. My hormonal profile as of now is normal, I am not on any meds. One very valuable suggestion that really helped me…

Firstly congratulations on achieving such a huge weight loss. It needs a lot of effort and a lot of will power and not everyone is capable of achieving the same. I did not have too much of weight to lose, but when i did shed a little of that, I used to get mean sounding comments like 'you look slimmer now, earlier you were…

Walking. I had been doing body weight exercise too but due to sciatica pain I had to stop. My doctor advised me to just stick to walking for now. That and portion control has been helping me.

This. So much.

Many reasons: -To keep myself fit and healthy. PCOS has brought with itself many not so pleasant side effects. I specially want to get rid of that tummy bulge and occasional PMS mood swings. -Not to be tired even after a long day at work -To be able to go hiking -And of course look really, really good

cool.. keep it up!

I really think that we all need to be on top of our minds and not let the negative thoughts effect us. I had a similar mindset today morning and came to MFP to seek some support. But here I am, trying to encourage you and in the process getting encouraged myself  Now I am telling myself and to you: every single step…

Ditto. The PCOS definitely makes it hard. But I have managed to lose almost 3 pounds in last 1.5 months. I know it is quite slow, but certainly it is possible. Keep moving and you will be there.

Hard times are bound to happen at some point or the other. But do not give up, just keep moving. Remember, tough times never last, but tough people do. You have got this girl.. cheer up...sending you lots of positive vibes.

Excellent, hope you keep moving on this path with determination this time..I also have gone through a similar cucle but this time with MFP, I am trying to stick to my calorie goals.
-
I have been there too. But the only important thing at these times is to keep moving. Take one day or rather one moment at a time. You WILL be there very soon. And believe me, nothing gives as good a high as a good workout. That feeling of achievement after every single exercise session is so pleasing. Currently I am going…

I am also new here. I have started with clean eating and 30 mins of walk. I need to lose that fat that hangs around my tummy.
-
Don't be disheartened, I am sure most of us who are beginning on this weight loss journey face similar issues. If someday you have eaten more than your goals, just try to exercise a little more, get some extra walk or so. Don't beat yourself up and try to be kind to yourself. Move on, today is a new day.
